This was an unexpected gem of a museum. Such lovely artifacts with brilliant written explanations and lovely, helpful staff. Perfect for a couple of hours with primary aged children on a rainy day. The museum has been curated really well and the history is so interesting.

A very good museum to while away an hour , made better by the fact that it is free and so you cannot complain too much about the limited visiting hours. Not spectacular but informative about the local area which all ages can appreciate. A lift is available for the less mobile to the upper floor. It has a peaceful if small garden area to have a rest in fine weather.

A free entry museum. Well displayed items, artifacts not too crowded in cases and of a local interest. We had a great visit.

We popped in on a rainy morning and were really happy with everything we found. Lots of interesting local history and interesting artifacts. Our highlights were the mammoth tusk, a blouse made of a ww2 map printed on silk, haunted dolls houses and the vintage fashion. The lady on reception was also very friendly.

This is a charming museum, art gallery and gift shop in the heart of Worthing, housed in an impressive building.
We only spent a leisurely 45 minutes here but an hour or so would do it if you want to take your time.
The staff were friendly and the toilets good. Displays are on two floors but there is a lift. I especially enjoyed the art gallery section and the room devoted to Pride some of which I shared with a family member. The costumes were fabulous and there was an optional guided tour relating to fashion if you wanted it. Well worth a visit for all ages.

I really loved it. Small museum with a lot of history inside. I love the way they support different charities with Art exhibitions. 100% recommended.

Fine museum with a variety of artifacts covering the ages free admission and a great gift shop. Beautiful building friendly staff

This was our first visit to the Museum and Art Gallery. It was easy to find and well presented inside. Well worth a visit.

Fascinating museum, I recently went with a friend to see The Regency Dress exhibition. Everything was so beautifully displayed and well labelled. I particularly liked the costumes displayed in the storeroom and viewed through the glass wall, it reminded me of a visit to the V&A,s Blythe House where we studied an old patchwork quilt. We enjoyed the whole museum.
We loved the display of baby shoes but would have liked to learn a little bit about their history.

We (3 adults a five and four year old) had a wonderful visit to this well planned and thoughtful museum. Lovely costume exhibition and artefacts from the ages. Great little teddy bear and toy exhibition. Everything is beautifully designed and engaging for the children. There is a little shady garden and a very reasonably priced shop. All for free - we all loved it. The staff were very friendly - we felt very welcome.
