We recently returned to Mindworks to play another of their awesome rooms - Smuggler’s Ruin.
As with the previous game we played - Trapped For Cash - the styling of the room is 100% on theme and done to a really high standard! As well as the gameplay and flow being bang on point. With well thought out puzzles of varying style and difficulty. And some exciting surprises along the way!

Excellently hosted and a great set up for the Misson Berlin escape room. Challenging but achievable puzzles and clever use of space.

had such a great time doing the smugglers escape room! We managed to escape with only 2 minutes to spare!
Abi was a Fantastic Host, kept character throughout and really topped off the experience! would highly recommend and cant wait to return to try the other rooms 😬

Did Smuggler’s ruin escape room recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. The puzzles were challenging but not unsolvable, only had to ask for one hint. Really clever staging would definitely recommend. Looking forward to tackling another room when my daughter’s next back from Uni at Christmas

We had an incredible time doing the strapped for cash escape room! I had never done one before so had no idea what to expect, and our host Olive was incredible and made the experience so fun!! They explained everything we needed to know but in such a fun way and completely in character. the theme is in full force from the first minute you arrive, the host is a tv crew member preparing you to go on live tv for the gameshow.
we were a group of 4, we didn't do all the puzzles in the time but the ones we did were so much fun and so clever, leading you to all sorts of clues around the whole room. all of us left with our cheeks hurting from smiling and laughing so much.
I would highly recommend this escape room!

We played both games as a Team Day out (from another ER) and found the staff to be super enthusiastic and engaging - thanks to Olive for being so welcoming and organising our visit!! We are hugely competitive so loved Trapped for Cash and the theme of a cash-builder/game show really got us excited. Smugglers Ruin is a more traditional style ER - we loved some of the reveals in the room and the theme being very relevant to a seaside town. We had a fabulous couple of hours visiting and can’t believe we hadn’t heard more about this little gem.
We all agreed that Trapped for Cash got us buzzing and left in a high, as it had something to appeal to all brains, due to the multiple challenges within. Great concept, great team, well delivered. Thanks for having us, it was a top team day out!! ;)

The best Escape room we've taken part in (we've done over 10). From the moment you arrive, you're in the 'Show'. It's like being in every game show that's ever been launched. We sang, we danced and laughed a lot and won a stash of Cash!

We did Trapped for Cash here yesterday on a work outing (6 of us). Olive was a great host/producer who made it very immersive and fun. Would highly recommend as a staff do, birthday party or just something to do with friends!

This was our second Mindworks Escape room (we did the Berlin one last year) and it was brilliant. This year we tried Smugglers Retreat. It’s amazing how many things they can fit in to only a small space. The guy that led the session was brilliant and kept in character the whole time! He was very funny and gave us little hints when we needed it! This was a fantastic afternoon and can’t wait to try their third escape room!
