We completed the 6.6 mile circular walk, and gained much in the experience. It's a mixture to road, track and trail, with natural and manmade steps, and quite challenging in places, especially if there was a wind blowing. In the summer it's doable in trainers, but I really would recommend walking boots for added security.

Great walk, stunning views over the estuary and out to sea. Overbecks can be visited at the same time if you wish.

If you are looking for a good walk then try this - the views at the end are spectacular. It was wet and windy when we went so if you have a dog expect them to be muddy!

This walk has a few slopes and good walking shoes would be recommended. the views are stunning. Not many places to sit so enjoy a rest when you get the chance.

A very pleasant walk that is circa 2.25 miles (if starting at the Ferry in Salcombe) and takes about 45 minutes. Most of this walk is on the road from Salcombe, with the coast path starting when you get to The National trust Overbeck's Garden Car Park. It is of moderate difficulty with it being quite steep in places. The views for the entire walk are stunning and there are places to stop and rest along the way. There is a cafe and public toilet at North Sands which is on the route. The coastal path at Sharp Tor and The Rags is beautiful. High Recommend this walk for those of reasonable levels of fitness. Wear sensible footwear, hiking trainers are adequate as it is not ragged enough to require full on walking boots.

Absolutely lovely walk from Salcombe, we made it into a loop, walking back to town through Malborough, before a well earned pint at the Ferry.

If you take the top route via Overbecks and Sharp Tor it challenges the legs, the lower route contouring round Sharp Tor head is significantly easier and also v rewarding. A must if you visit Salcombe.

Stunning views on a nice day, one of the most pleasant walks you'll ever take. Not too stenuous but the first stretch to North Sands and South Sands is a bit up hill and down dale

A beautiful walk. But be careful of ticks. I picked one up on my leg despite wearing long trousers. There were many visitors wearing shorts. They must have had more ticks on them. On the positive side not so likely that the ticks are carrying Lyme since there are few deer or grey squirrels in this area. But you never know.
