We're new to visiting Belton House but as we are NT members thought we'd venture from our usual day out. So glad we did as Belton is our new favourite. Is has so much to offer, the historical House, the beautiful , relaxing gardens, the adventure play area, the walks and the wildlife. Each time we visit the deer amaze us with their splendour. Magnificent creatures who don't mind sharing their space with us. During the summer months the grounds are alive with colour, during the winter (Christmas) the Christmas lights.
Parking is great especially now the carpark has had a makeover. Plenty of picnic benches to rest at for a bite to eat.
Fulfilled activities for the children.
Always greeted with a cheerful hello upon entry.

Lovely visit to Belton house today which is beautifully decorated for Christmas with lots of lights and christmas trees .staff are lovely and friendly and helpful , there are things for the children to do inc a dressing up rail .The lady in the bookshop today was really lovely and friendly .we had some lunch in the restaurant which was tasty . The staff have obviously put a lot of hard work into making Belton look magical. Thank you everyone for giving us a special visit

Visited Bolton Estate today with our daughter if 9 years old. Great parking , beautiful grounds with Deer and sheep close by.
Toilets very clean and tidy.
The house is well maintained and interesting.
Went to the outdoor adventure playground which our 9 year old really enjoyed. Lots of space and climbing frames.
Worth visiting

What an absolute brilliant experience at Belton House deer rut walk was today. I would highly recommend .The Ranger was informative interesting and knowledgeable. despite the rain which did stop as soon as the walk started we learnt a lot about trees fungi as well as all the deer species that are on the park. The walk lasted longer than advertised and even for someone who’s not the fittest it was suitable terrain for me to manage .All in all 5stars and really enjoyable

What a wonderful place to visit.
A stunning house with so much history & lots to see.
The gardens are absolutely beautiful.
All 4 of us ladies enjoyed our visit & would highly recommend.
The cafe too is well worth a visit.
Great service.

We visited Belton House today as we are staying in the area for the week. Even though the weather was rainy, it didn't stop us having a lovely family day out. The deer park is beautiful, it's so wonderful to see the deer safe and happy. The house itself is simply outstanding, it's like something straight out of an Brontë novel, there's so much to see and it's nice to see some restoration work being carried out. The staff are very friendly and attentive and were very interesting to listen to about certain rooms in the house. We had lunch in the stables cafe and it was lovely, the staff were very friendly and the cafe was spotless. The book shop we also paid a visit too and bought some wonderful little treasures.

!st time visitors to this wonderful house steeped in history and full of wonderful portraits tapestries and furniture all the staff were friendly and informative.
gardens are excellent,it was quite busy but the free flow around the rooms made it easier.
well orth a visit,plenty of toilets and seats for less mobile visitors.cafe was nice.

Beautiful Georgian looking fairly large National Trust house. Good for families with very young children as has fairly large woodland adventure park, if your ever near Grantham, well worth a visit.

Nice National Trust property. Interesting house including filming areas for Colin Firth and Mr Darcy. Library is really interesting. Grounds are really impressive, a nice Orangery.
The cafe has nice tables within the old stables , good potato wedges and cake. Nice little shop. we didn't unfortunately make the Adventure Playground

Great place to visit whether you’re young or old, was able to have a leisurely look around the house which was amazing!! Plenty to do for children in the big outdoor play area and a lot of exploring in the grounds. The food was delicious and also catered for children with a child’s menu or a choice of sandwiches with sides for about £3.50. All in all a brilliant day!!

can we walk around the grounds fo free during the corona virus and is their parking available. Do I have to book for tomorrow 19th November

No you have to pay unless you are NT members. You have to book a day in advance but they may let you pay on the day being a weekday. Loads of parking.

I am disabled and use a mobility scooter, is the grounds suitable and any blue badge parking please

Hi,
I believe the grounds suitable however i'm unsure about the blue badge parking, I can't remember unfortunately. If you give them a call i'm sure they'll be able to give you loads more information :)
