Really good value for the cost. 45 minute cruise up and down the river from the quay. The guide was very funny and told us a great deal about the river and its surroundings.

Fantastic trip - would absolutely recommend to others. Decided to do this over doing the ferry with a different company (that ferry looked very busy on the day we were there).
The trips are dog friendly and you can pay £10 for a group trip. We decided to private hire the boat and it was the highlight of our visit. We picked up some goodies from Niles bakery to eat on the boat!
Our captain and guide gave us informative commentary down the river and out at sea and were also happy to take photos etc.
Loved it!
Spent time otherwise mooching round the shops in Fowey, stopping for a coffee and taking in the views.

Best £10 spent in Fowey so far, (apart from the Quay Bakery, but that's edible not leisure)! Must admit I was sceptical about going on a "tourist" type trip, a little naff I thought? But my husband wanted to do it after a walk down the river a few days earlier in Lerryn and it was his birthday 🎈 yesterday when we went! I couldn't have been more wrong about it being possibly naff. It was so peaceful and relaxing and you get to see a different view of Fowey and Pollruan. The boat driver Bob was so at ease and friendly and the facts he gave on the tour were delivered succinctly and as if it was the first tour he had ever done. You must include this trip in your visit to Fowey, specially if you are slightly snobby and cynical like me, as I was completely wrong (as I often am)! £10 was an absolute bargain and I am very tight to boot. We took our two small dogs along, one of which is quite a nervous dog, but she really enjoyed it and the other went to sleep! Thought the boat ride might make me feel sick but not in the slightest. Go do it.....!!!! I highly recommend, and no, I don't work for the company, although I have to admit my review sounds like I do. It's just that I was so impressed.

A highlight of our holiday near Fowey. This 45 minute trip gave us some insight into the port and the famous people who have lived there. Cap'n Bob took us up river past the china clay storage facility and gave us information about the commercial activities of the port and the local wildlife. He then took us just out of the river, past Readymoney Cove into the slightly choppy waves. He seemed very knowledgeable. This was a useful trip to do early on in our week and was good value. The boats were running every 20 minutes when we booked at the cabin, so we did not have to wait long.

One of the highlights of our weekend in Fowey!
Taking this boat trip was a last minute decision, we booked 2 adults spaces and waited about an hour for the next available trip. The boat had about 15 of us and took us up the river, past the Boddinick Ferry, pausing occasionally for some interesting insight into the surroundings and a few good jokes along the way. Then about turn back down the river, past the town out towards the open sea for the last 15 minutes of the trip. The boat was very comfortable and the guides were both great hosts. Brilliant value for money and so lovely to see the town from the water, it really does look different. Got some great photos of our hotel from the water. 100% recommend this lovely boat trip, especially on a sunny day!

Well worth the £10 each. Lady at the Cabin was very helpful, straight on the 2pm boat. Very funny and informative, pipe smoking Captain, didn’t catch his name. Sun was blazing hot. Nice leisurely boat ride. Definitely recommend followed by a beer in the British Legion where you can become a temporary member for £1 and save money on your drinks.

We booked for the 1.20pm river trip only 10 minutes before. The lady who served us was really friendly. We travelled on "Beef'r" (B for Boat!) but can't remember the Captains name however he was hilarious. Really good information about the sights and history, with great humour thrown in. 45 minutes well spent.

Great skipper, right amount of information, good sense of humour, would definitely recommend, £10 for a 45 minute trip up the river snd around the harbour well worth the money, one of the best boat trips we’ve been on .
