Incredible collection sparking so many memories and forgotten gems. Five rooms crammed with this remarkable collection. Friendly welcome and great value at just £4. Housed in a house in Callander Main Street so don’t expect a spacious modern museum. It’s cramped, it’s a fest for the eyes, it’s wonderful.

Memories are made of this...what a great place to visit. So many memories of childhood items. The museum looks small on the outside, but they have crammed so many toys from years past into a very worthwhile trip back to your childhood. There is a £4 entry cost, but when a rather disappointing ice cream further along the road is almost £5...it is an excellent price to pay.

Popped with my other half as he had never visited. I had not been in years.
Was great to pop back and see all the toys. Loads hidden away. So was great not to be rushed and just take our time. Also bought a few things in the well-stocked shop.
Well worth a visit. A good laugh.

Visiting Callander for a couple of nights away, we visited the Museum and spent a couple of hours going around remembering our prized childhood toys and some toys displayed that were wanted but never gotten. We are both children of the 1960s. There is so much to look at in the Museum. A working railway inside and another outside. Other visitors were just as enthralled as we were it seemed. Children were visiting too. I wonder what they made of it all. There is a shop area where some toys are for sale. My older cousin and her friend were going on a bus trip to Callander a few weeks later and I recommended the Museum to her. They went and they both loved it too.

I had to walk out out. It as claustrophobic. The collection is housed in a former guest house. Every nook and cranny is stuffed with all sorts of toys, Many of same, there were several Rupert bears for example. There was no information anywhere. it has so much potential if curated better and housed in more apporroate setting. the shop inserting for toy collector. would not recommend.

There is so much to see in this little museum. Each room, the corridors and staircase are filled with different toys. There's a different theme for each room. It brought back lots of memories of toys from my childhood and was fun to show my daughter. The shop has vintage toys and memorabilia for sale. Well worth a visit

What a day, this has got to be one of Scotland's gems. Easy to find at the end of the High Street. Walked in and my jaw just dropped, my childhood truly is in one place. The shop which is split into 2 halves has stuff for sale at really fantastic prices. Spent the first half hour wandering round the shop trying not to melt my credit card. Then we hit the museum, I defy anyone not to say " I had that and that " and that as you wander from one room to another full of all your childhood memories they all come flooding back. Set out in different genres, dolls , soldiers, cars, planes, action man , Sindy Batman and Robin GI Joe, Flash Gordon the list just goes on and on and on. You could return again and you would never see everything in one go. Worth the very small admission fee, family friendly , the staff were really friendly and informative. Thank you for a visit to my childhood.

Had a lovely wander around this amazing toy collection when we were in the area today. Great fun. Lovely chat with the owners about some of our own toys and favourites. Great fun.

Found the toy museum whilst staying in Callander for the night.
Situated on the high street just facing the co-op, it’s easy to find.
The shop is fab, I couldn’t believe my luck when I spotted a lotus esprit from the spy who loved me sat in one of the cabinets for sale!
My husband had one as a child and often talks about it, it was like we were meant to go in this place.
The museum was just mind blowing.
£3 entry fee, well worth it.
The most huge collection of every different toy from years gone by!
Catalogued and encased in cabinets, it was absolutely incredible to see.
The lady who we spoke to I believe was the owners daughter, and she was delightful, so friendly and warm.
This was for sure one of the highlights of our trip, Thankyou so much for sharing your collection with the world.

Fascinating place, gentleman very nice and helpful, even though we did not purchase, happily chatting to my sister about a bat mobile, with spikes, we wandered round, he did not pester us, just let us look, altother a lovely experience, highly recommend

The shops do have wheelchair access via the front door ramp. Unfortunately the museum itself is located within the house spread over 2 floors so is not suitable for people with limited mobility. Please note we are only a seasonal business and are at present closed. We reopen at Easter. Kind regards
