Turned up at at this so called pub only to be greeted by the most unfriendly bar staff and door staff. If you're not already friends with them don't even bother trying to approach them. Ooh you're barred 😂😂

My Friend Richard & I Popped Into This Place On Monday 24th September After Our Trip 2 Dartmouth This Being Closest To The Railway Station It Was Reasonably Busy We Both Had Couple Drinks Quite Reasonably Priced This Place Is Now Called Pickwicks

This has a different name called pickwicks.this has to be one of the worse pubs I've ever been in.the staff are all unfriendly the locals all look like they want a fight.thank goodness there are better pubs in paignton than this.my advice to anyone is avoid this place even for a late drink it's not worth it.

We called in mid-evening on an overnight stay in Paignton & found the bar clean & comfortable, with decent beer at a decent price & good service. Surprised at some of the more negative reviews, but guess most town centre bars have occasional problems - we had none, the atmosphere was pleasant, & we wouldn't hesitate to return when next in the area. One of the better pubs we've found in Paignton, & we've now tried most within walking distance of the town centre - I won't review most of the others as I prefer to recommend the ones we like rather than be negative.

Erm.... depends what you want I guess, the beer is cheap! And it is decent. So what's to complain about... well, I've heard tell it's called the Star Wars bar (the scene in the movie with every type of alien you could imagine) and... I have to agree, I've never seen a pub like it. So many different characters... sadly most you wouldn't want to bump into in an alley. Only a few seemed pleasant and cheerful, a couple of lads who were clearly under some influence, and spoke to me in depth about... well I don't know, I couldn't understand it. But it appeared I was there new best friend.. i do tho feel 3 stars is average and balances out the price and standard of beer with the clientele that you may be best to avoid eye contact with.

I've been here a few times, the latest this week. Beers cheap and the music is great. Looks rough and ready but people are ok.

This place is without doubt one of the roughest places I have ever been to. Never got chance to finish our drinks as we valued our looks way too much. The biggest troublemaker appeared to be an elderly woman who appeared to be offended by the fact that all of us still had most of our teeth and hadn't been on the Jeremy Kyle show. Horrible place

We didn't go in expecting much as the outside had seen better days however the drinks were cheap, the music cheesy and age range varied. Thought we would stay for one and ended up staying till 2am ☺️ if you want upper class it's defiantly not for you but if you want a giggle and to let your hair down then give it a try!

I visited Paignton for a Stag Do and we went in here each day. The Guinness was very nice (we went to another place where the pipes clearly had not been cleaned for months!). The other customers in there were friendly and chatty. We were even offered free food with a small spend at the bar. There's a pool table, football on TV, and in the evening it turns into a much livelier place. Really enjoyed our visit here.
