It my first visit to the torbay Inn I was made to feel very welcome by the gaffer the tribute and hpa where both fantastic drinks the bonus was too when I went up to get another pint at 5 o'clock the gaffer informed me that it was happy hour 5 till 7 and the beers had drop down by 40p really nice friends old fashion pub would recommend this place to anyone will definitely be returning next time I'm in Paignton

Absolutely brilliant! So friendly. Away from home and this pub is absolutely great. If you're prepared to chat to others, then the next minute you're part of it. If you want a little sit and quiet, also brilliant. One of my favourite places in Paignton and proper prices!

A lovely hidden gem, with an amazing welcome. Great value for money, with opportunity for all bar games. The dart board is well maintained, with good lighting (and it has nothing to do with the fact that I attained a good darting score whilst visiting!) We met the landlord, Dave, who was a delight to speak to. Above the covered outdoor area is a beautiful display of planted pots, which were blooming and well maintained. If you are a local or visiting this beautiful part of the world, this place is a must. Sending a huge thanks to Dave and all his staff.

Brilliant locals pub, but very friendly and welcoming to "outsiders". Very good range of drinks and very good prices. Dart board is immaculate, pool table looks like never been used (it's that well looked after and respected). 1 gambling machine, but no joke box. Quiz nights, jam nights and live entertainment. Nice to find a pub which isnt miles (actually walking distance) from the town centre, which has extremely nice staff, perfect tasting beers and a brilliant landlord and landlady

We were taking a short break in Paignton and visited the Torbay Inn. Staff we very friendly & told us about Open Mic Night ( every Thursday).
We returned the next night for the event. Atmosphere was great, every one have a good time. A group of musicians host the event and then support other people who take part. The quality was outstanding with everything from Dolly Parton to AC/DC my favourite being a Neil Young classic. It's a shame we're not local as we would go often if we could. Well done to everyone who took part, especially the hosting musicians

Good pub Good selection of drinks. Friendly staff. Outside area was well kept . Has a separate bar and lounge. We visited twice .

Visited this pub during our holidays off the usual tourist track but well worth a visit, a good old fashioned pub, no food, no children running around just a nice place to go for a drink

Been here a couple of times this week having just moved to the area. It has been quiet in the afternoon, but excellent service and a good range of well kept ales. Highly recommended.

A properly traditional public house, with good beers, a friendly atmosphere and plenty going on. Particularly recommend the Thursday open mic night (an amazing array of local talent) and Sunday's Quiz Night.
