On tour in a camper van popped in for much needed shower. The ladies shower out of action for refurbishing using pool shower for ladies wife had her dry clothes throw on floor by locals.
I used dry-side mens squash court side, already been refurbed showers were baltic, freezing.
Not a lot of interest for reception staff.
Not the most pleasant visit. Am sure they could up their performance

Rarely, but every so often, the Velopark closes for a major event. This Sunday was the Cyclo-Cross league and I was there to photograph it. The facilities are really good, the place is immaculately clean. Hundreds of people were there (including BBC Spotlight) and the day was amazing.
The off-track parts of the event got muddier and muddier as the day went on but it that made for some great photos :-)
I overlook the Velopark so I can recommend going. Check out their facebook page as it contains information on the different weekly event they have, plus any closure that may be coming up.

Took the family - ages 14-63 - for an evening session of skateboarding and skating.
The staff were amazing - so helpful as some of us were just beginners. The atmosphere was so friendly and being run by people who genuinely care about their sport. Everything was provided and it was all free of charge. Well done Torbay Velodrome

How nice to ride around for a couple of hours and not have to worry about cars,dogs and walkers, worth a visit and great value, met some amazing old boys still out there ! In their eighties and flying 😀

Such a good thing to have so local, not only does it host parkrun but it actively encourages children to exercise, which is a massive achievement. The course is in perfect working order and is great to cycle or run around

I try to use this Velopark twice a week. And with a senior membership including carpark is for just £55.00 a year.
Once you have used it 14 times you are in profit. The staff are always very pleasant and helpful. You can also hire bikes of all shapes and sizes, plus a helmet.

i have mailed them twice for information during the last 12 months , and still waiting for an answer, not a great way to run a facility

Looks great, right next to the camp site, unfortunately under about 2 inches of water due to the weather at the time, not flooded, just continuous rain! Ill be back in the summer to try it out properly

We visited the velopark to help our nine year old gain confidence on s bike. By the end of two visits, his all round ability and confidence had improved massively. What a shame there are not more of these parks around the country. Bike hire was very reasonable and the track layout and condition was excellent. Even the coffee stall was good. Well worth a visit!

What are the opening and restrictions during COVID-19? I am eager to get down there, and was wondering if I have to book or if it’s open at all.

Hi are you restricted to one round, or cab you go round as many times as you like?
Is the bike hire expensive? I bought a single speed folder with me, but feel like I might want to ride a 'proper' bike around the circuit.

You can go round as many times as you like I usually ride for about an hour, bike hire is cheap, but I use my own.
