I personally think Southport air show knocks Blackpools effort into a cocked hat but I must say I am bias, sorry but you now need to wait till next year

I went for the first time in 2022 and I was very impressed. As a kid I went to Duxford IWC several times and forty years later was really pleased by the event. Recommended.

I love a good Airshow and this was very good. However, if you’re going to give a monopoly to a catering company, at least pick one that’s efficient. The food and drink outlets were woefully understaffed leading to very long queues . I hope for better next year.

As good as ever this year, lots to see and admire in the sky - Red Arrows as ever are fabulous, but for me the Spitfires are the buzz. (Used to be the Vulcan of course).
Getting in and out is a pain, I do think they could offer a better deal for those booking car parking aead, different car park and/or routeiings. One for 2023 perhaps, but good to be back.

We had a great time at the airshow with some impressive displays. Tip is to sit on the beach (bring chairs / rugs etc) and near enough to hear a speaker for the commentary. It gets busy but once you have your base you are fine.

Great air display but the catering and customer service was shocking very expensive prices shocking hygiene one was patting down gyros with his bare hands when others wore gloves the alcohol drinks were expensive too £6 for a pint of fosters

Never been before but the air show was brilliant, good value at £10 per adult, for 4 hours of non stop displays. But the parking was an absolute joke, queued for 2 hours and then only 2 people taking payments. Should have had people walking up queue taking payment. There was also a barrier so only one car could get through at a time! We took a picnic, glad as food queues were very long.

Excellent airshow, been many times but this is the first time I have found the facilities very poor and the arrangement with the vendors. Queing for 45 minutes just for a coffee. If I'd needed something to eat it would have meant another queue. The air show itself was amazing but i was a little disappointed in the Korean Black Eagles. I saw them before at Waddington when they did a 20 minute display but at Southport they had been and gone in about 10 minutes. Even so it won't stop me from coming back again next year and £10 a ticket is rather reasonable compared to other events or places to visit. I think some people want everything for free.

OK - the airshow was very good and really great to be back in Southport. However getting there was an absolute nightmare….2 hours queuing to park and had already pre-paid. Two people taking payment is not cool and an absolute shambles. This is not difficult but organisers didn’t have a clue. Used to be so much better when parked on beach even coming from south. Took picnic but queues for food looked horrendous! I shan’t be returning next year as too difficult! Come on Southport - get your act together!

If you get the merseyrail train to Birkdale there was one by the roundabout by the beach you walk along the road towards the beach to your left from the station.
