Visited with my daughter this afternoon...Lovely experience, upgraded to hot stone (I recommend) very professional and totally relaxing x really friendly, welcoming staff (couldn't do enough for us) would highly recommend 10/10 will shall return x

From the minute we arrived everyone was so friendly lots of positive attitude, the atmosphere felt so relaxing and welcoming which was lovely. Staff constantly checked we were ok. We had the massage and facial! These were amazing and definitely needed for us made us feel very relaxed. The beauty therapist where very friendly, chatting away which was lovely and made us feel welcome. The afternoon tea was perfect even down to taking some home with us which we couldn’t finish. Such a good variety of things on there. Overall we had a perfect day and it was topped by how welcoming and friendly everyone was on the team.

Had a lovely experience today, really relaxing environment. The staff were all really friendly and great at what they do. I organised our trip through email with which the staff were really responsive. Would really recommend the spa to anyone.

Honestly can’t thank all the staff enough for giving me and partner the best spa morning ever 😊 from start to finish everyone was so lovely and the treatments were fantastic. The private pool is definitely a must. The light lunch was also amazing and the staff in the restaurant were amazing thankyou so much we will definitely be back!

Amazing experience. All of the staff were so so lovely and attentive, the pool was fantastic and the treatments were phenomenal. Booked through a Wowcher, wasn’t too sure as the reviews are mixed on here but I would 10000x recommend it. The facilities are wonderful, cannot fault our experience. Big shoutouts to Gwen my therapist and Martin the manager, absolute legends.

I visited Portland Hall Spa today with my partner. They managed to fit us in last minute for treatments and use of the jacuzzi pool area. We were greeted by Jenny at reception who was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We were provided with robes and slippers then taken to the treatment rooms. We both had a hot stone massage, I had the body alignment treatment whilst by partner had the scalp massage and then we both had facials. Both of us loved the treatment, it was all very relaxing! After the treatment Martin showed us down to the spa pool. As we were booked last minute and it was late, he even offered to keep the pool open slightly later so we could have the full experience! We had food and Prosecco and couldn’t fault any of it.
Martin and has staff went above and beyond and really set the standard for how spas should be run. Can’t wait to visit again!

As explained on the e-mail we sent you, as you purchased your voucher through a third party, you need to obtain a refund through them. I am more than happy to assist you as explained, and have already sent you an email you can use as authorisation for them to refund you. It should be no problem at all.
I am sorry you are not able to come and visit us, as you would have a wonderful time. We understand the circumstances though, and would like you to come visit in the future - just get in touch with us directly and we can book you in for a package you are happy with, or when you find someone to come with you.

Surly the slippers are single use? I seen on a review that they are not? I don’t know how I feel about wearing someone’s else’s slippers?
Shippers and robes.... both old and tatty. My slippers where lumpy, felt horrible to walk in!

If you add any upgrades you get the slippers and robe free so with the upgrade to three course lunch for 12 quid you're only paying an extra 6 if that makes sense?

upon buying the groupon i found out there was no spa pool sauna so but disappointed already. but then i rang to make appointment to be told unless i upgrade to a 3 course meal or spa i can only go at 9.30am or 4pm living an hour away this is quite unconvienent times and it did not state this in the fine print. did anyone else have this problem or told what times they could only go at? thanks

I am pleased to inform you that Portland Hall Spa does have a private candle-lit spa pool, Moroccan Mud Rasul and private Jacuzzi pool.
Unlike shared or communal spas, where the shared atmosphere of the facilities does not promote relaxation, our facilities are available for private hire. Our private candle-lit spa pool is beautiful, set under Moroccan style arches, with fresh fruit and water served poolside and as you can see from our reviews is very highly recommended.
Due to very high and popular demand, the vouchers are subject to availability.
Where availability is limited and to accommodate a booking, we may suggest upgrading to the three course meal, with again is highly recommended, as this allows for split treatments during the day filling up the appointment slots remaining.
In any case, at this venue or any other, it is always best to check the availability first to ensure you can be accommodated if you have specific times and days.

I would like to know why the Manager of this "spa" only responds to the few good feedback left but doesn't comment on the bad feedback.
Especially when a lot of the bad feedback is the same..... the therapists diddling people out of 10 mins or so per treatment.
