We played the course in mid February but the condition was excellent. A truly great links with so many memorable holes. Fabulous bunkering makes demands of the golfer but fairly rewards good decision making. A links course that has to be on every golfers bucket list.

A quality golf course with quality facilities. Course exceptional and in great condition. Catering faultless. Whole experience was fantastic.

Wow what a wonderful golf course. Everyone was very friendly. Had excellent rental clubs. My caddie did a pretty good job but didn’t want or need to use a range finder. Started finding the bunkers on the back nine which elevated my score. Didn’t spend much time in the clubhouse but personally I’m not a big fan of contemporary golf clubhouses. First hole nothing special but don’t be fooled a lot of great golf holes. Driving range a little bit of a walk away. Definitely would play again.

I didn't play golf here but I sat inside a lovely restaurant with my husband play with his friend it was such a beautiful food and beautiful wine list the staff is so great towards me and my husband and we slept for hours and son outside overlooking the course What a great great memory

This is one of the best golf courses, and clubhouses in the UK. We had a caddie, Steve Dale who was absolutely fantastic. Patient,knowledgeable and an all round nice fella.

Played at Royal Birkdale on numerous occasions. The caddies were wonderful. I had a character known as Jungle Jim ! Excellent course knowledge.
Highly recommended hiring a caddy when you visit . The course is in pristine condition and the pro shop is well stocked.

A brilliant day at Birkdale! It’s a great course and is in excellent condition for January.

We played several great courses during our week in the NW but Royal Birkdale was by far the best golfing experience of the lot and l thoroughly recommend it as a definite MUST PLAY. The staff throughout were first class and any visitor should not miss wandering around the changing room and general areas and take in the great photos on display. The course was exceptionally well presented and the only adverse comment would be that course signage could be better in places. That said, we had waited due to COVID for many months to play the course and are very pleased to have done so. No golfer should miss the opportunity to play this wonderful golf course.

I was lucky enough to play in September 2021. The whole experience was fantastic, from the staff, the welcome and of course the golf course. The course was set up so it was playable without loosing any of the "Open" experience. I would really recommend.
