Played here on the first day of our 3 day golf tour. Also playing Conwy and Royal St David’s. Personally Aberdovey was the best of the 3 . It was a challenge in the strong winds . The course was immaculate, greens were lovely and fast. Fairways fully grassed and also immaculate. Even the grass paths were on a different level.
Facilities were excellent a must visit.

Called in as non members, whilst staying at the delightful Trefeddin Hotel, had a very welcoming reception from the staff & a really nice cappuccino in relaxing atmosphere.

Great course in superb condition, challenging in places & when the wind blew it hot tougher. Great views from the high points. We stayed in the very comfy on site Dormy Rooms which were superb & right on the edge of the course.
Beers , Food & overall hospitality & service excellent .
Will definitely return as a group next year .

We were a group of 12 playing 2 rounds of golf at Aberdovey GC with an overnight stay in the dormey house. The accomodation was very clean and tidy, the club house was the same with very friendly staff. The course was fabulous and very well presented. We ate out at the Dovey Inn in the evening and this was very good pub food and again very friendly staff. The only downside was the 40MPH winds, which made hard work getting round the couse with a good score, but would deffinately recommend and would not hesitate to a return visit.

We played 2 rounds of golf and stayed in the Dormy House in September, having wanted to play here for some time.
Office staff very helpful and flexible with booking.
Young man in pro-shop very polite and helpful when we checked in.
Breakfast cooked to order and decent quality.
Unsightly caravan site adjacent to the first tee.
Dormy House single beds on the small side.
Weak electric shower over bath, disappointing after a day's golf.
Buggy on 1st day was dangerous with faulty parking brake.
Buggy on 2nd day was fine.
Golf course was scruffy in places.
Greens were much slower than our own parkland course, very disappointing.
On the Thursday we were stuck behind the last 4-ball in an informal [old] men's competition.
They spent ages [more than the allowed 3 minutes!] looking for lost balls but would not call through the following 2 players in a buggy who were playing so much faster than them.
Worth visiting once but don't expect great things and don't play on a Thursday afternoon in summer without checking whether or not there is a men's competition ahead of you.

I’m really surprising myself by giving this local renowned club just three stars! It is purely based on the all round experience!
Upon arrival and prior numerous phone calls certain members of our party were told that there were no buggies available even though the eldest in our group had a doctors note and even though the course is fairly flat he definitely needs one! We had late tees and clearly there were plenty available 🤷♂️
The course itself is in my opinion ( 11 hp) ok with decent enough greens and plenty of bunkers ( although most could do with some attention) Again just in my opinion the course is a little repetitive and let down by 3 out of four blind par 3s ( a little mickey mouseish dare I say it!)
It is odd to say , but I may of only enjoyed it because I took the money off the other 11 !
I would certainly never pay £100 to play it which was the asking price on the day without a county card!
To be fair I would rate 5 or 6 courses in the county much higher apart from a beautiful club house and outlook!
Having just got in after 7pm and specifically asking before hand could we have a meal upon completion, it was very disappointing for all of us to find that catering had finished (and this on a sunny evening in June🤷♂️)
To be fair barman was very apologetic and seemed slightly embarrassed by it but obviously not his fault!
We had to survive a 2 hr train journey home at 10 pm on a diet of gin, wine and crisps!
Having said all this, a cracking day out but had expected more and give Dovey the full five stars!

My son in law bought me a round of golf at Aberdovey and after driving past for many years we finally played the round on Sunday. I was optimistic it would be good but it exceeded any expectations by far. The course was immaculate, the greens were so true and consistent, and the conditions to die for. Having waited so long to play I'm sure we will not wait too long to be back and play again, without doubt one of the top courses I've ever played on!!

Awful food which is a huge shame as it is in a beautiful position and the food used to be amazing. Then they had the audacity to charge us an extra £1:50 for gravy which we refused to pay.

Fantastic staff, great bar and golf course. Everyone friendly good value stayed in the dorms on the course nice comfortable rooms

We're a group of 9 golfers looking to sort our tour in June next year - we'd look to travel to Aberdovey on the Sunday night,have breakfast and play golf - would your dormers accommodate us all? If so, what Sunday & Mondays are available and what are the costs please?

We go to Aberdovey every year, the accommodation at the course wii take upto 12 people in 6 x Twin rooms.
Can't help with the availability but I'm afraid.
