Minera Gaffione di Schilpario, una bellissima esperienza per i bambini e per i grandi. C'è tanto da imparare sulla vita in miniera, la visita inizia prendendo un trenino per un tratto, e poi la visita continua a piedi,,si costeggia anche un fiume sotterraneo.Nella miniera ci sono 7 gradi costanti, quindi meglio di coprirsi bene!
Gli organizzatori sono gentili, disponibili e preparatissimi! Alla fine della visita c'è la possibilità di sedersi sui tavoli x un pic nic ed assaggiare la birra Frera.... Consiglio di consultare gli orari x non dover attendere per la visita. Una mattinata molto interessante e particolare, consigliatissimo!!!!!

It was about 6 years that I wanted to visit this mine and this year I succeeded.I also brought my children (12 and 9 years) to understand how different and hard the life of their peers was in an era not so distant.It was a unique, exciting experience that I would recommend to tutti.La our guide, Sylvia, was very good and prepared, he was able to explain so that both adults and children understand.Ed it was very pleasant to stop to talk (about other mines in Valsassina, the Falck steelworks, the museum of the Frera motorcycle that bears the name of their beer) with her even when the visit is over.Personally the most unforgettable moment were the descents from the stairs (you just have the feeling of entering the bowels!).You need to cover up just like in winter, because the temperature is really cold.I would have been in it well over an hour and a half that lasts the visit!

A nice discovery, an exciting visit, you enter with a train of the time and then continue on foot, the Guide makes you immerse and really identify with the past, highly recommended

Very nice and touching experience. The Guide explains carefully and in detail how to work in the mine and under what conditions. Visit that makes you reflect on the theme of work. To visit also with children

Great experience!
The Guide (Nicolò) is very competent, super prepared (he answered in a timely manner to all the questions that were asked) as well as nice!! Our small children have never been bored throughout the journey.
You discover many secrets related to the life of miners.
Highly recommended visit!!

By pure chance we discovered this mine and were more than happy with the visit. Our Guide (Marisa) was exceptional: engaging, passionate and passionate she managed to maintain the level of attention throughout. Of extraordinary culture she was able to discuss geological topics (not simple at all) with terminology and examples even for children.
As already mentioned, cover yourself very well because the bitter cold enters the bones.

Guide tour of about an hour and a half.
A small train leads into the bowels of the mine.
Our Guide told, in an appropriate and engaging way, the events of an era and an economy long ago.
Perhaps a small refreshment area would be useful...
I point out, 10 kilometers away, the scenic Passo del Vivione.

An unusual and interesting experience (first time for me!) and I must say that I was impressed positively. In all it takes a little less than two hours, the Guide was very good, she was able to keep attention throughout the journey and for everything she explained, despite we had children not too old so at risk of distraction! The cost is not excessive at all and the trip is definitely worth it. The only Recommendation is to cover up well because it is very very cold!!

I visited the mine with my family (me, my partner and two children aged 7 and 4) and it was a very interesting experience. Very good and engaging Guide. Prepare for the cold that is penetrating. Very nice also the reception area with the possibility of picnics, baths and water fountain. Very good beer for sale in the shop, made with mine water. If we want to find a flaw in the experience I must say that maybe for younger children it is not really ideal, I would say that from 5/6 upwards is better, but only for a speech of attention to the subject, not for a safety aspect.

Nice experience. Competent and accurate Guide, probably with scientific studies. Environment still quite original and not too modified for tourist purposes. In an hour and a half you can understand the work of the miner and its hardness. The route presents some points to be careful. Unfortunately, there is no bar but there are craft beers. Recommended

Vorrei sapere quanto dista la miniera dal campeggio Alpen se l'ingresso è gratuito e se ci si arriva facilmente o se è impegnativo arrivarci

La distanza dal campeggio non la conosco,per quanto riguarda l'ingresso,noi abbiamo pagato 10 euro a testa soldi ben spesi. Interessante la visita e la guida super competente

Propenderei per qualcosa di più pesante.La temperatura é tra gli 8 e i 15 gradi e l'umidità é oltre il 90 per cento. necessario,all'ingresso oltre al caschetto obbligatorio forniscono un impermeabile,gratuitamente:esso non serve tanto per l'acqua quanto per trattenere il freddo e l'umidità.

Parcheggio a 20 metri dalla biglietteria.O al massimo entro i 200metri ma la domenica in cui diamo stati noi i parcheggi piú distanti erano chiusi perché non ce n'era bisogno (e siamo stati in una delle domeniche di ferragosto,quindi suppongo l'afflusso fosse alto).Il fatto che parta (e quindi esca)una visita ogni quindici o venti minuti riduce l'accumulo di auto nei parcheggi.Mal che vada, si fa una passeggiata all'ombra di qualche minuto.
