Amazing experience at bowland forest glider club. All the staff (volunteers) were really friendly, even the safety video was amusing. Tony, my pilot was brilliant, making me feel totally confident. He explained everything that was going to happen during the flight and I had a great time. Such a dedicated team, thanks so much.

Just returned home after experiencing my glider flight experience at Bowland Forest Gliding Club. The volunteers and my pilot Tony did everything to make the evening so unforgettable. Tony set me at ease pre flight by advising me that, should the parachute fail, they have been told that the supplier will re-pack it free of charge. (Perhaps I shouldn’t have mentioned that, but it appealed to my sense of humour)

Excellent experience from start to finish made very welcome lots of information before flight and as the weather was not perfect ended up doing 2short flights with instructor Laura who was excellent hopefully will return many thanks Tony/Southport

Had a amazing time on my gliding experience, start to finish plus great gliding conditions made it so enjoyable.
Everyone involved are so friendly and professional and I must mention the instructor (Tony) who is incredible.

Wow..Wow what an experience it was at the gliding club. We went as a group for an experience and wow was it fantastic. All of the team there from the ground team to the pilots who took us up were amazing. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. They made sure that we understood everything and that we we kept safe. The flight was unbelievable from take off to landing. I even got the opportunity to fly the glider as well. We were also shown during the flight how to catch the thermals and how the glider reacts. I will certainly be going back for some more flights. Thanks to all the team at the gliding club for this great experience, I would recommend this to anyone.

If you are interested in experiencing the joy of gliding ,I can honestly recommend Bowland Forest Gliding Club. Excellent booking experience , efficient and useful information from Liz. Tony my instructor was the model of calm and assurance ,everything was explained , making the experience wonderful. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this happen.

Had a fantastic day out and would recommend anyone thinking of such an experience to go along and try Bowland gliding club.. everyone is friendly and helpful and keen to get you involved. Gliding is both tranquil and exhilarating and I thoroughly enjoyed myself so much so I’m heading back there soon.
Liz was so helpful when I arranged my day and Tony was the instructor and was fantastic making the day so memorable.
If you do go make sure you have good boots on as it can be muddy and take a packed lunch in case there are weather delays.

What a brilliant day, the people are so friendly and informative.
Despite the far from perfect weather I had two flights and although they were short one's It has made me want to return.
The club is in a stunning area that I know quite well but have never seen from the air.

From the start booking our gliding lessons was a pleasure. Liz who I spoke to on the phone was a delight. Today Tony did an amazing job taking myself and myself out for a lesson and an experience which was even better than we had expected! We loved it and will be back. Great group of members too, everyone made us feel at home.
