Unfortunately it is closed permanently. The art scene in Muscat doesn't work financially well yet...

Loved this place , Authentic Omani art and creativity , I was really impressed by paintings , sculptures & Calligraphy . If your fond of Art , you must visit here . It's worth it

After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor I was excited to visit MuscArt, but when I got there I was very disappointed. They moved location and at the new premises there is no exhibition area to view art and they are no longer doing workshops. Don't waste your time going there.

MuscArt is a Paradise in Muscat for an Arts Lover. It is the best place in Muscat to interact and mingle with a lot of local Arts lovers who are really interested in paintings, calligraphy, photography etc.

MuscArt is a place were talented people are teaching others about their passion: photography, calligraphy or painting.
They are young Omani people with big heart and is great we "the students" can meet them. They are good and passionate about what they do.
If you want good learning, interactive, fun, building friendship do not hesitate to join MuscArt courses.

MuscArt gallery is located a bit off the main hospital spots - located in an office block and not facing the main streets, it can easily be missed by an out of town visitor. However, it's quite popular with the local artists and art lovers for the hub of activity they provide.
There is a host of short courses from photography to fine art painting on offer. It not relatively cheap but for the quality of artists and art teachers it's quite worth paying the amount.
The Gallery is smaller than others in Oman but it does have some striking work - plus I for one am in love with their black ceiling and black floors making it a very dramatic space for viewing art.
Do call in before visiting to be sure that an active exhibition is on display.

Muscat is Oman's capital, overlooking the Gulf of Oman and settled beneath the foothills of the Hajar Mountains. There are white and sand-coloured low-rise buildings and ancient walls & city gates. A must see is the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque.
