We stayed at Episkopi Environmental Information Center for two consecutive days in the last week of November 2024. On the first day will go en Ezousa Trail, really worth seeing with many pomegranate trees and orange trees and beautiful vegetation in the valley.
Tip: The Environmental Center offers great souvenirs from island honey and rose water to chamomile essences, not the kitsch that is offered everywhere in Pafos. Since the center closes early, we went again on the second day. For the entrance fee of 2 euros you get an interesting film. Afterwards, the very dedicated and sympathetic lady who works at the center (and is originally from USA) showed us around the exhibition and explained many fascinating things about the unique wildlife. E.g. that even the little fox there partly eats the big beetles in the valley bottom to make ends meet and does not have to go out into the open field where birds of prey are waiting for him. The tour is rounded off by a visit to the small botanical garden, from there there there is a very nice view of the valley (photo).
The centre is in urgent need of donations/support - anyone with a heart for the great nature in Cyprus, which is threatened by both poachers and persistent drought (for 3 years), can contribute to the preservation here through the entrance and the tasteful souvenirs.

This was the most enlightening visit. The centre is exquisitely curated, beautifully managed by the most passionate environmentalist, most engaging and informative. I highly recommend it.

Very welcoming information centre and fantastic museum of wildlife. The trail has many entry points and options so that it can be adapted depending on age and ability of participants as well as weather and season.
Even if the riverbed was quite dry life was in the small pools and seeing a fresh water crab was a real highlight.

A clean, well laid out and very informative centre. A film first of National Geographic standard and then a professional talk by the presenter. Anyone interested in the flora and fauna of the area would love it.

It’s was a really fun stop on the holiday, the person there is super enthusiastic and entertaining. She explained everything and made sure we had a great time. She took us around the garden and helped us enjoyed it so much.

The centre is an absolute delight. We were welcomed and shown around the excellent exhibition, which is really fascinating. The introductory film, in English, is well worth watching. The displays cover the geological history of the area, right through to the current situation with wildlife and the scientific and conservation work that is happening there. The thing that really came across to us is the interdependence of all plant and animal species. The centre is just on the approach to the Episkopi cliffs where we saw jackdaws.
There is a small display of local products for sale. We bought a jar of Maro's Mosfilo jam which is made of hawthorn juice, lemon and scented geranium. Nicest jam we've ever tasted!.

I booked on to the 7.5km Ezousa Valley walk after finding out about it through the Cyprus Mail. I turned up at the Episkopi Environmental Centre, was warmly welcomed by the lovely Mary Beth, and introduced to the student guides. I happened to be the only person that day, and had a wonderful 3hr walk with the guides. Lots of orchids, lots of birds (including seeing a Peregrine Falcon soaring above us), and plenty of lizards. We even saw a snake. And it was lovely and quiet people-wise!!
The Episkopi Environmental Centre (be aware it's Paphos not Limassol) itself is a lovely space, and has several items that can be purchased (walk and bird books, bird brooches, local honey etc), and information leaflets are available. Mary Beth is extremely friendly and helpful. It is possible to watch a video about the local flora and fauna, which I didn't have time for, but will definitely go back another time to watch. There are toilets if you want to start the Ezousa walk there independently. The walk is well signposted.
I also believe that the shorter valley walk is being offered until the end of the month. I would highly recommend it if you are in the area!

Super informative. If you are interested in the geology, plants, birds, butterflies, beetles and the environment, this is a 'must' place to visit.
With walking trails, an enormous rock formation, (and a cafe with amazing views of the valley just down the road) we are so glad we found it.

Surprisingly we spent nearly 3 hours here there was so much to see.
First a 25 minute video detailing the geography, geology, flora and fauna of the local area.
Then the exhibition providing more in depth details of the above and how local people are protecting the local habitats.
Finally a walk around the grounds where there is a mini river inhabited by very noisy frogs. The views are explained in the context of the exhibition and then there’s the opportunity to taste and purchase local produce.
The environmentalist who guides you has a wealth of knowledge and is passionate about what she does.
Tickets are valid for 2 visits so it’s an ideal place to visit if you need somewhere indoors, then you can explore outside when the weather is better

What a really informative, relaxing place! The lovely Mary Beth gives a wonderful welcome and a really informative talk. There is a short film to watch, lots of information on the flora and fauna of the area and a chance to explore the beautiful herb garden. For €5 per person we would highly recommend!
