Excellent ski resort. The mountains and nature are really beautiful. The perfect destination for family holidays. the only drawback is that the prices are a little more expensive

ich habe eben die Preise für kommenden Winter gesehen. 67€ für einen Tagespass. Da fehlen mir die Worte. Ich hoffe, dass machen nicht mehr viele mit.

Die Trails sind ok, keine besonderen Highlights dabei, halt in die Jahre gekommen.
Für Biker gibt es ein Bus Transfer weil der letzte Trail vom Bikepark so weit weg ist das man sonst nicht mehr zurück kommt.
Nur gibt es keine Schilder wo der Bus stehen bleibt.
Man muss sich daher überall durch fragen um die Haltestelle zu finden.
Wir werden hier nicht mehr Urlaub machen.

We came here as we wanted to visit the
‘Skyscraper’, we paid the €31 each return to go up (only one of the lifts was open, we drove to another first initially only to find out it was closed. But that’s to be expected in the summer I guess)
Unfortunately we couldn’t do the skyscraper as it was closed due to wind. Although we didn’t know this and had to wait an hour for someone to turn up to the hut, which was frustrating!
We walked around the area but in our opinion there are much better mountains to go up in the Dolomites!

Ormai siamo diventati assidui frequentatori delle piste di Plan de Corones e san Vigilio di Marebbe.
Le piste sono larghe, diversificate e tenute ottimamente; ci sono piste per principianti e quelle per esperti.
Gli impianti di risalita sono di ultima generazione e supportano anche l'afflusso in massa degli appassionati.
Sono presenti anche i park per i più spericolati e per le gare di velocità.
L'organizzazione delle varie scuole sci, poi, è ineccepibile e consente di sfruttare l'intera giornata (11-15.30 o 10.30-14.30), lasciando che i bimbi si divertano e pranzino presso la scuola sci. Cosa fondamentale, consentono di effettuare da uno a sei giorni consecutivi di lezione, con grande flessibilità e senza dover necessariamente frequentare l'intera settimana.
A nostro avviso, il miglior comprensorio del Triveneto

Prachtig bebost skigebied met super geprepareerde brede pistes voor elk wat wils.
Langs de pistes ontelbare stopplaatsen van boerderijen met eenvoudige restauratie tot restaurants met uitgebreide menu’s.
Apres ski volgens eigen goesting, van volle ambiance tot meegenieten op een rustige plaats.
Grote betaalparking aan dalstation Reischach. (best hotel boeken met shuttledienst)
Vanuit Reischach is Bruneck zelfs te voet bereikbaar voor de shoppers.

Tak jsme si splnili naše přání a celý týden jsme lyžovali na Kronplatze, krásné dlouhé a široké sjezdovky na různé strany kopce, moderní lanovky a spousta sjezdovek různých obtížností. Super, příští rok přijedeme znovu.

Wenn man nicht Ski fährt, lohnt der Besuch im Winter nur bei Besuch der Museen
Lumen und MessnerMountainMuseum.
Sonst sehr volle und auch oben leider viele rücksichtslose Skifahrer,
Abseits des Hauptstromes ( Liftanlagen )grandiose Aussichten bei gutem Wetter.
Liftbetrieb ansonsten gut organisiert.

Mittelgroßes Skigebiet mit viel zu wenigen Restaurantplätzen (auf dem Plateau) und fast ausschließlich Gondeln.
In der Hochsaison sind die Restaurants schon weit vor dem Mittag komplett besetzt, und die meisten Gäste bleiben dort stundenlang, wenn nicht sogar den ganzen Tag über, sitzen.
Mittags (und auch wenn man erst nachmittags kommt) ist es dann entsprechend beinahe unmöglich, spontan einen Sitzplatz zum Essen zu finden. Häufig stehen in mehreren Schichten benutzte Tabletts herum, die nicht weggeräumt werden und das Förderband in die Küche steht still.
So extrem haben wir es noch nirgends sonst erlebt.
Da war es immer ein Kommen und Gehen und die Gesamtsituation ‚sortiert‘.
Wir sind total genervt von den überfüllten Gondeln (sind z.B. für 10 Personen ausgewiesen, obwohl eigentlich nur 8 Personen vernünftig sitzen können, und dann drängen sich teils noch Personen stehend, was eigentlich sogar verboten ist, hinzu) und der Platzsituation in den Restaurants. Kommen definitiv nicht wieder!!!

Upsides:
Plenty of runs for intermediates
Lovely long blue back into St Vigilo so would be good for beginners and offers gentle run at the end of a days skiing
Plenty of mountain huts for breaks
Modern lifts
Downsides:
Takes a while to get to the top of resort from our base in St Vigilo (three gondolas and a chair lift )
Be prepared to unclip often since most of the slopes are only accessible by gondolas.
Very poor signposting of pistes both from the top and along the way. But after a couple of days you get familiar with the area
No apres ski or so low key we never discovered any

Hi, we are staying in Riscone, so is it possible and how to get to Alta Badia and ski through the Sella ronda and come back to Riscone, all in one day?

P.S. we would like to avoid skiing down do Piculin- we heard it’s very difficult..

Apologies for delay. Very do-able ! Don’t worry about Piculin because you can take gondola down. Bus is easy to Alta Badia although leave plenty time to work your back before last bus. Well worth doing !

Is there a small village near the ski resort? I see that Brunneck is very far (45 min by car). Which would be a good town to stay?close enough but with options of nearby restaurants to enjoy a good dinner. Do we need to rent a car?

Go to Olang and you will find good spot for you. Near the ski slopes and with some hotels and restaurants. There is a ski bus to the ski slopes.
