My husband & I (alone.....we were just 1 couple!) had 7 perfect days with Enrico. He carefully curated our days with hikes that suited our skill level and everyday a different view of the Dolomites. He showed us the beauty of the mountains, kept us away from crowds and gave us lots of history of the area...and we always we able to stop for great lunch in huts.

We just had the most exhilarating, fun, and rewarding couple of days with Enrico! Enrico is charming and confident with a great sense of humor, and has been climbing the mountains around Cortina his whole life–so he knows the best routes, views, and also how to keep his guests safe. We’re an athletic couple in our 30s, and without any significant climbing experience we were able to scale ridges and peaks that I never would have imagined all while taking in the most incredible views. We climbed the ferrata degli Alpini and ferrata Olivieri, ending each ferrata with a beer or an Aperol spritz! I’m so grateful for the opportunity to push my comfort zone, while knowing I’m in great hands–and climbing with undoubtedly the best guide in the Dolomites!

We had an excellent time climbing with Enrico. I climbed a multi pitch with him and then a day of sport climbing with my family. He is kind, extremely knowledgeable, experienced and an excellent climber. No one knows more about this area than him after climbing here for so many years! Safety was a priority and he was very accommodating of my children. I very much enjoyed my time with him and learned things that will help my climbing. I would strongly recommend climbing with Enrico to anyone!

Enrico is the BEST!! We went climbing and on our first via ferrata and Enrico made the trip absolutely fabulous! These days were the highlight of our trip. Enrico is a great communicator throughout, was so engaging the whole day, and won over our 2 teenagers immediately with his humor and warmth. I wish we could give ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Imagine yourself in a new country, on new rock, in new terrain… it can be very daunting.
Enrico from Guide Dolomiti will make you feel very comfortable by choosing the right adventure for you, your wants and your experience. He was extremely efficient, made me feel safe, informative, and was super funny to make the experience an all round positive day out.
It was my first day in Dolomiti, my first climb in the Dolomiti and I have no regrets enjoying it with Enrico.
Enrico from Guide Dolomiti will make you feel very comfortable by choosing the right adventure for you, your wants and your experience. He was extremely efficient, made me feel safe, informative, and was super funny to make the experience an all round positive day out.

Cette citation résume à merveille l’expérience unique que nous a permis de vivre Enrico.
Notre séjour dans les Dolomiti était un voyage père-fils que je voulais inoubliable pour tous les deux .
Grâce à Enrico, notre guide, le résultat s’est révélé au delà de nos attentes.
Mon idée première était de parcourir plusieurs vie ferrate.
Dans nos échanges préliminaires par mail, Enrico nous a parfaitement aidés dans le choix d’un hôtel et du matériel nécessaire tout en organisant un premier programme.
Lors de notre première rencontre à l’hôtel, le soir de notre arrivée, Enrico a appris que mon fils de 18 ans pratiquait l’escalade en salle, chose que je n’ai jamais faite.
Il nous a alors fait part de sa passion pour l’escalade et nous a proposé de nous initier à l’escalade en milieu naturel. J’avoue que j’étais perplexe et un peu inquiet à cette idée, mais la proposition était vraiment excitante et Enrico était très encourageant.
Le premier jour nous a permis de faire la magnifique Ferrata degli alpini sul Col dei bos.
Dès les premiers mètres, nous étions conquis!
L’après-midi, Enrico nous a emmenés à la salle d’escalade de Cortina d’Ampezzo et j’ai reçu mon premier cours d’escalade, chacun pouvant ensuite s’entraîner à son rythme.
Le deuxième jour, munis du matériel adéquat, nous nous sommes rendus aux Cinque Torre où nous avons escaladé grâce aux conseils d’Enrico, la quarta basse, la torre inglese et la via « rosa mundi » sur la torre grande ( cima ovest).
Le troisième jour, nous avons parcouru la Ferrata Olivieri jusqu’à la punta Anna.
Après une halte rafraîchissante au Rifugio giussani , nous sommes repartis par le
Sentiere ferrato Astaldi.
Le quatrième jour fût l’apothéose du séjour avec l’escalade du Spigolo del sass de stria ( via colbertaldo-pezzotti).
Ascension superbe , paysages époustouflants!!!
Alors oui, Enrico est un guide extraordinaire, passionné et passionnant, amoureux de ses montagnes natales.
Il est doté d’une extrême compétence qui n’a d’égal que son humilité.
Mais c’est aussi un homme dont la gentillesse, le calme et les conseils toujours encourageants nous ont permis de nous dépasser et de vivre une expérience rare, sans jamais se sentir en insécurité.
Merci Enrico. Merci de nous avoir permis, à mon fils et à moi-même, de vivre ces moments uniques de pur bonheur. Nous ne les oublierons jamais.

Ottimo ! Con Enrico abbiamo fatto il sentiero olivieiri, una via ferrata bellissima alle tofane. Dal initio alla fine, Enrico erra molto simpatico, attento e sempre con storie e particolari da contare. Enrico e la perfetta guida per scoprire le dolomiti !

Io e il mio ragazzo abbiamo incontrato Enrico su suo consiglio nella palestra di roccia Lino Lacedelli a Cortina. É stato un incontro fortunato. Fin da subito Enrico ci ha mostrato la sua grande passione e dedizione per la montagna e le sue regole. Dopo esserci conosciuti e aver arrampicato indoor per un po’, abbiamo organizzato una giornata di ferrata, la prima per noi. Insieme alla piacevole compagnia e grande esperienza di Enrico, abbiamo fatto una delle ferrate piú nuove realizzate dalle guide alpine di Cortina, la Ra Pegna, in localitá Duca D’Aosta. Oltre ad assicurarci a lui con la corda e spiegarci come affrontare i passaggi tecnici più delicati della ferrata, Enrico ci ha trasmesso grande sicurezza durante tutta la salita, non senza lasciarci liberi di sperimentare e divertirci. La salita è stata agevole grazie ai suoi consigli e l’arrivo in cima al torrione emozionante. Contenti di proseguire, abbiamo fatto insieme anche il sentiero Astaldi, di facile difficoltá e accessibilitá. Tra le note tecniche di Enrico e i suoi divertenti aneddoti abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo il percorso che, oltre ad essere un bellissimo sentiero ferrato è anche una interessante meta di interesse geologico.
Non sono mancati i racconti di episodi storici, ricordi e tante risate.
Siamo stati davvero soddisfatti dell’esperienza. Ci siamo salutati con l’augurio di rivederci, magari quando saremo piú esperti di sentieri e vie ferrate, perché non bisogna essere necessariamente dei “principianti” per godere della compagnia di una guida con cosí tanta cortesia, entusiasmo e simpatia..!
Consigliamo davvero Enrico come guida!
Non sono mancati i racconti di episodi storici, ricordi e tante risate.
Siamo stati davvero soddisfatti dell’esperienza. Ci siamo salutati con l’augurio di rivederci, magari quando saremo piú esperti di sentieri e vie ferrate, perché non bisogna essere necessariamente dei “principianti” per godere della compagnia di una guida con cosí tanta cortesia, entusiasmo e simpatia..!
Consigliamo davvero Enrico come guida!

I spent few days in Cortina and wanted to take climbing lessons. I found Enrico via his blog. I spent an amazing day with him in the nearby mountains, doing multi-pitch climbing. He is a great teacher, very patient, knowledgable and makes you feel safe at any point. I would for sure go climbing with him any time again! Highly recommended!!

Really enjoyed my experience with Enrico Maioni. He was a great guide! We met the night before our climb to chat and grab a beer. We put together a plan and he treated me as his equal. I felt very comfortable discussing things with him and his English was really good. We then did the climb and had a lot of fun. After the climb he belayed me on a couple local routes and then we had lunch with my family joining us. He told us fun stories and introduced us to other locals that were in the same HUT for lunch. It seemed that everyone knew of him! I highly recommend getting a guide if its your first time in the area. It was my first time in the area and even though I am an experienced climber I opted for a guide. Satisfied with my decision.... A local guide such as Enrico can always show you the local shortcuts, local way of life, knows the crag and routes better than anyone, understands the weather patterns and mountains better than an outsider, and many other reasons why a guide is worth it.

First of all I apologize for my English, I know it's not the best.
I do not organize the "Alta Via 1", I'm sorry.
There are not difficult/technical sections on the Alta Via1, and you can do it by your own. But, of course, you are on the mountains. Experience in hiking is required.

The best time for this kind of activity (trekking, mountaineering) is from half June to the end of September.
August is very crowded, better to avoid this month.
