Wer hier große archäologische Wunder erwartet, wird enttäuscht sein. Sehr weitläufig, gut beschildert aber eben nur mehr ein Park. Die Botanik ist beachtenswert.

This was a great way to spend a couple hours after lunch. The museum had a great display of recovered artifacts, and it was interesting wandering the grounds looking at the dig sites. Very close to the dock where the cruise ship tendered.

Easy access to view 700 bc ruins of original Greek colony site on Sicily, great film in museum showing what all the structure looked like originally gives fabulous context based on recovered evidence, and careful stories of excavations over the years brings this ancient archeology site alive for visitors. Bravo!

Veramente una bruttissima esperienza. Al di là del museo, tutto il resto non è altro che una passeggiata tra giardini tenuti malissimo e qualche roccia storica. Non c'è manutenzione, non c'è ordine, non c'è un cartello o una spiegazione. Che delusione. Non ne vale la pena neanche se gratis (la prima domenica del mese).

Luogo senza senso. Con tutto il rispetto per la prima colonia greca ma è un posto trascuratissimo, una sosta che fa perdere solo tempo perché è talmente povero di siti archeologici pervenuti che con. 10 minuti siete già fuori. Bello il museo ma per il parco c’è ancora tanto da fare

Do 5 pallini perché la cultura va sempre supportata in tutte le forme, anche se, per i non appassionati di storia e archeologia, non penso vada la pena di venire. Il parco raccoglie significative testimonianze delle trasformazione intervenuta a Naxos tra l’epoca arcaica e quella classica, sino alla totale distruzione ad opera di Dionigi di Siracusa. Nel parco si può ancora ammirare il sistema viario dell’antica città. Eviterei le ore troppo calde, in luglio e agosto. Poco distante si possono visitare gli arsenali dell’antica città, per quel che ne so, una testimonianza più unica che rara

Do un pallino perché di meno non posso, le 2 stanze del museo sono gradevoli ma poi dopo 10 minuti di visita il nulla cosmico. Venire qui è una perdita di tempo e di 4 euro per poter entrare. NON ANDATECI.

This is an extensive site with two small museum buildings and the ruins of the town. The museums are stocked with interesting artefacts and the explanations are very good. The ruins themselves require a bit more understanding- there are few of them left- the outlines of houses and other buildings and the interpretation of them isn’t always clear. Parts of it are quite overgrown but it does allow for a bit of nature spotting, and the views over the town and of Etna and surroundings are very beautiful. Worth an hour or so to explore

Quello di Giardini Naxos è uno dei musei archeologici più belli che vi siano, immerso nel verde e con tanti reperti sia nei due musei che all’esterno (case, mura, santuari ecc ecc). Un’esperienza che non dimenticherò mai! Unica pecca anche in questo caso l’assenza di una guida (che mi era stato detto telefonicamente che vi sarebbe stata), peccato.
