Nice place to go hiking in the summer. With cable car and chairlift up and from there nice mountain walk around the lake and up.

rented two e-bikes at the "Pila Bikeland" in Gressan /Pila: experience not to be repeated! staff that explains things listlessly and very roughly .. and I was kind. They do not check the e-bikes before delivering them .. they just wash them! very high cost for the rental and they take advantage of it when something happens to the bike (which they have not checked) and they offer you an absurd figure telling you that it was your fault if it broke!! after less than half an hour of use the bike change broke and then the chain came down, for a cost so said orally without list of € 100!! plus 55 € rental for half a day .. and the receipt?? We had also asked if from 1.30 pm (start time of rental) to 6 pm (closing time of the cable car) we could make the whole route and they said yes .. shame that arriving after 5.30 pm (closing time that we were not mentioned) we were asked to pay a penalty for the delay!! we discussed obviously having to pay and with the consequence of having thus missed the descent with the cable car! and are 18 km to get off at the parking lots!! anyway NEVER AGAIN '. never had an experience like this! THEY'RE BAD

Pila is easily reachable via a cable car from the bottom of the mountain in the town up to the resort. I visited in February 2023 and it was my first time ever actually skiing on snow. The resort is big enough but I imagine it isn't as big as some, and another thing that could be improved is that there aren't any green rated slopes for beginners. Our instructor taught us well and was helpful and mainly took us down red slopes. There are a nice mix of wide open slopes and smaller, tree-lined paths with small bumps and slightly off-piste bits, etc. The resort has plenty of cafes and restaurants and also has a fun park with ramps and tricks, and when I was there a temporary slalom track was there.

Let me start by saying that I love the Pila area and skiing in Pila. On April 6, 2024, however, many tracks, among the most beautiful, were closed for several races; the cost of the ticket is still 53 euros. In my opinion this is not correct, at least a symbolic discount on special days would be appreciated.

Shame on the Pila d'Aoste station!!!😡😡🤬 this morning they refused me my two disability cards, with the excuse that the percentage of disability was not indicated!?!!!!! The cashiers don't even know the new European disability cards and dare to ask me what percentage of my disability I am, but what a shame! We've been coming here to ski for five years and this is the only station in the valley that won't let us in because this person isn't even aware of the current regulations for disabled people! I hope these cashiers never find themselves in my situation. Then one day they will think of me....

Myself and my family have just returned from a great ski break in Pila. Our party of 7 were of mixed ability and the resort had piste to suit all. The lift infrastructure could do with an upgrade but considering it was 1/2 term queues were not to bad. The wait time at the mountain restaurants and loos were often long and disorganised. Saying this the food was good and reasonably priced. I would recommend Pila for family’s of mixed skiing ability.

Really impressed with this resort. Not great for wider facilities (although has the essentials) but the snow, slopes, lifts and friendliness of people was brilliant. Lovely slopes ideal for intermediates and no queues!! Our hotel was half board so we had lunches on the slopes which were excellent value.

Pila is a small area that can be covered in 1 day
The trails are wide and well groomed. They are quite steep: which makes it a very pleasant, and very fun, extended ski. We have all made good progress. Young people can also have fun at the snow park
This valley is magnificent: unobstructed view of the Monts Blanc and Matterhorn.
The lifts are a little old and their capacity should be increased because the waiting time is sometimes long.

You can easily reach the cable car which takes you to the ski area in 15 minutes, after having rented the equipment and left your car in the free car park. The area is large, snow is always present and prices are reasonable.
The systems are a little dated and slow but still effective.

Priceless, you arrive by train thanks to the cable car from Aosta. Nice area for skiers, good hotel and excellent restaurants. We hope for a relaunch for the Pila 2000 village

Wij hopen over weken in Pila te skien. Alleen lees ik dat er daar weinig zon is en dus ook erg koud. Logisch want de pisten liggen op de noordhelling. Maar komt er wel zon? Hoe is de siruatie in februari/maart?

Where in Pila ski resort is there a ski school that 2/3 people can join a group class instead of having to pay for private lessons ? As we have not enough people to make a group our self. Many thanks in advance .
