This is one experience you simply have to do.
To be able to hire a speed boat which looks and feels brand new ( see pics) as well as take it out on the water without a pilot, so you dictate and plan the four hours you have, at a price that is so much cheaper than other operators (EUR 250) was priceless.
The staff were so helpful and smiley and on arrival it took all of 15 mins to run through the paperwork and get to grips with the controls. I have sailed before and so I wasn't a complete novice however imho any competent individual without any sailing experience is more than able to master the controls thanks to the excellent tutorial given by the staff. (note that life-jackets are provided and are in excellent condition)
Hiring the boat from Nautic Planet made our holiday and I really mean that. To be able to see the various villages from the lake in such comfort was something I'll never forget.
We will definitely be back. If I could give this review more stars I definitely would. The whole experience from start to finish was so easy and pleasurable.

A wonderful day on the water, highly recommended. The guys were terrific getting us set up and on and off the boat. Diego drew up an itinerary for us that was great. I was nervous if our group of 7 could comfortably fit. No problem at all, plenty of room. We went out for 4 hours which was just enough time to travel down to Laglio and back with a couple of stops for swimming and some leisurely interludes poking around different town waterfronts. Could have easily enjoyed another hour. Don’t hesitate to book this, it was a great day. Grazie!

We rented a boat from the Tremezzo/Villa Carlotta location but worked with Laura out of the Mennagio location who couldn’t have been more helpful with our myriad questions. We booked a 7 person boat for 3 hours and had one of our best experiences in our several visits to Lake Como!
The staff at the Villa Carlotta location were fantastic, making sure we were completely prepared for our boat ride and giving us numerous recommendations on a route. We ended up heading down the East side to Lagio (to see George’s house), across to just north of Nesso where we stopped near the shore for lunch and a swim. Then over past Bellagio to the West side to check out the less touristy side of Bellagio and for another swim near the big rock wall on the point. Perfect itinerary for 3 hours and a great way to see some of the less frequented parts of the lake!
Can’t recommend doing this more and we’ll definitely be back to rent a boat on a future trip!

Our hotel was asking for 400 plus euros for a trip round lake but saw these guys and delighted I did. 120 euros for 2 hours hire we went for and loved it brilliant way to see the lake. No experience required and easy to navigate.
Guys are very professional and answered any questions we had and gave us a route to explore.only wish I could keep it longer

Excellent experience. Very helpful staff who suggested good places to stop for a win from the boat. We had a 3 hour hire and it passed very quickly! Would definitely recommend.

Von der Buchung bis hin zur Fahrt war es klasse. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und haben gute Routenvorschläge.

Super journée avec notre petite famille (4 enfants âgés de 20 mois à 13 ans) sur un joli bateau propre et sécurisé, à la fois parfaitement guidés par Jonathan et totalement libres de choisir notre itinéraire, nos pauses baignades, etc…

Easy to find vacant boats on web page, and rented boat was like new. Super friendly staff guiding on operating the boat and inspired for a nice route on the Lake and best places to swim. A really great way to see the area! The team quickly responded to questions and I can only renommend boat rental from nautic planet. Free public parking nearby the Tremezzo boat pick up spot.

Nice staff, good boats. Very uncomplicated and good to find. Can highly recommend to do a trip, min. 2 hours.

Das Ausleihen eines Bootes zahlt sich wirklich aus.....der Preis ist für 2std mit 110€ wirklich top......Benzin ist inkludiert!!!!! Wir haben dann noch die 15€ für die Versicherung gezahlt.

No. People can rent the boats with motors up to 40hp without a license. Anything with a larger motor requires a boat license.

I have no idea about the size - they only listed motor size and capacity for people. We rented a 40hp (largest we could get without a boat license) and they offer 6 and 7 person boats.

How old do you have to be to drive the boat? We are coming in August. Are you near the hotel Grand Victoria? Can you book in advance or when your there? thanks

Thank you for your question. Drivers have to be at least 18 years. We are directly in front of the Grand Hotel Victoria. Reservations are best made in advance. There is a contact form on our website which you can use for this purpose.
