Di passaggio a Viareggio, siamo capitati in spiaggia per bagnarci i piedi fuori stagione, complice una giornata favorevole. Ci siamo imbattuti per caso nel Bagno Irene, proprio all'ora di pranzo. Ma è stata una scelta obbligata, dal momento che in zona era l'unico ristorante aperto. E mai scelta fù più azzeccata. Due adulti e una bambina. Seduti sotto un tendone, ma con vista mare. Pesce freschissimo, portate abbondanti, sia nei primi che nei secondi. Molta scelta anche nel menù per i più piccoli. Carta vini adeguata, anche se, vista la stagione ultimata, molte referenze erano esaurite. Ma abbiamo trovato ugualmente una bottiglia che ci ha ampiamente soddisfatto. Dolci fatti in casa degni di nota. Prezzi onestissimi. Gestori estrtemamente cortesi. Pranzo perfetto.

Lunchtime food was superb.
The Seafood Rissoto was beyond my wife's expectations ( pictured) and at 58 years of age I ate my nicest ever Lasagne, we will go again before we leave in a few days. As we are here in October some places have closed and this place isn't opening in the evenings but what a lunch to be had!

The food was fantastic but the front of house staff in the restaurant have a bit of an attitude problem and acted like they don't really want your business, maybe because the season is nearly at an end and they're tired but we won't be back, we like to feel wanted

The food here was the best
We tried all around Viareggio. We ate at least 4-5 times here trying all sort of dishes: lasagna, pasta al ragu, risotto di mare, pasta al pomodoro, sea brass, tomate and mozarella. All dishes were delicious and good size for the price. The waitress that gets your order is probably the nicest one in all Viareggio. They also offer a bag of bread and fried cheese and donuts for free, some quite tasty.
What we did not like was the fact that sometimes we had the feeling that they care more for the future customers rather than the customers standing in front of them: we (2 adults, 1 toddler) wanted a table, they told us that all the 2pers tables are reserved. We told them that a 4 pers table from there is not reserved (no ticket on the table), and they told us that the table is for 4 pers, not 2 pers and a baby… (for toddlers they give the IKEA baby chair, my boy does not Find it confortable anymore, so sometimes he ate in my lap.

Rented the basics for the beach and it was a great location and good value for money. It’s a family-owned business and you really got that. As a solo traveller, I could not have been made to feel more welcome or special. Little touches like remembering my name when I came up for lunch or to get a drink. Just lovely. Food was excellent and reasonably priced.

Ombrellone e 2 lettini 35€/giorno, ad agosto, quindi direi più che onesti.
Abbiamo pranzato tutti i giorni nel ristorante e ci siamo sempre trovati bene, piatti molto buoni e porzioni abbondanti a prezzi davvero competitivi.
Personale gentile e cortese, spiaggia ben tenuta.
Abbiamo passato 3 ottime giornate!
Torneremo all’anno prossimo!
