We returned again to this beautiful shrine to honor Santa Rosa. After the church we visited the convent where a gentleman gave us news about the life of the Saint and the feast that is celebrated in her honor.

Church on top of the ascent of Via S. Rosa. Entering through the side door you can reach the room where the shrine containing the saint is kept. Interesting some spaces dedicated to a photographic exhibition in the monastery. At the time of the rosary you can also see/hear the cloistered nuns recite it from behind the grille, to the left of the altar

You cannot pass through Viterbo without visiting the premises of the monastery of Santa Rosa and consequently the very impactful body of the Saint; you can also visit the renovated rooms of the ancient monastery with original furnishings, paintings and relics, which currently still houses around ten cloistered nuns in one part of it; the volunteer staff who manage the opening are very friendly and provide useful information for the visit.

The visit to the Monastery of Santa Rosa is an essential stop on the tour of the beauties of Viterbo. Only in this way will it be possible to understand the great devotion that the city has for the Patron Saint.

Pretty little church in Viterbo to absolutely visit if you are visiting the city. Inside there is the ulna with the body of the Saint and the heart of the Saint. It is also possible to purchase gadgets.

An extremely interesting and very beautiful place in a Viterbo always full of surprises. A fantastic guide, in love with his city and very knowledgeable, made us appreciate the uniqueness of the monastery and relive the passage of the Machine on the night of September 3rd. Worth a visit!

After a snack we visited the sanctuary of Santarosa, we met a member of the association of Santarosa porters. The history of the Santarosa machine and the finding of the porters was explained to us in a truly interesting way, ending with the viewing of the video of the last machine of Santarosa, that is, that of 2022.
