Once you buy your ticket you then get to step back into another time, of a private Palazzo with beautiful art and furnishings from Italy and abroad especially China, treasures and also family life with photos. All of this is presented with well written guides in different languages explaining the historic significance and details. It's not included in the Volterra Pass but has to be a must see.

A splendid nineteenth-century private house with various Collections of Pottery, Plates, Tableware... a beautiful library. Tickets on can only be paid in cash and dogs are not allowed.

La ringraziamo per la visita e per la Sua recensione che ci offre l'opportunità di precisare alcune condizioni di visita: nelle sale del museo possono entrare solo animali di piccola taglia, che possono essere tenuti in braccio dal proprio padrone, per motivi di sicurezza e logistica non sono ammesse altre opzioni.
Per quanto riguarda il biglietto è possibile effettuare il pagamento tramite Pos, purtroppo non essendoci una buona ricezione di linea nel centro storico di Volterra, può capitare, come da Lei segnalato, che temporaneamente non si possa procedere al pagamento.
Sarà un piacere ospitarla nuovamente a Palazzo Viti.

A beautiful historic palace, belonged to an important family of Volterra, really very rich and interesting. Surprise to visit the various rooms furnished and enriched with photographs, paintings and books. Da visitare assolutamente!

Palace very well maintained, cared for and full of history. Precious objects from all over the world and the history of this important Volterra family. Very knowledgeable guides.

...and to say that we have seen an infinite number of buildings! Before coming we decided to book a guide, because the entrance ticket does not include a guided tour but only some informative notes. At a cost of €50 (obviously divisible among the participants) to be added to the entrance ticket, a very good lady accompanied us for an hour between the various rooms, providing us with all-round information on the palace, on the singular personality of Giuseppe Viti, the its first owner, on the history of the alabaster trade in Volterra, and meanwhile drawing our attention to the various objects on display, many truly singular. I highly recommend anyone interested in knowing something more to make the same choice as us. It was an unforgettable visit, in this way the palace truly "speaks" to those who wander around its rooms, but if this was not possible it is still a beautiful place not to be missed when touring the city.

Palazzo Viti is an elegant historic building located in the medieval village of Volterra which since the mid-nineteenth century has become the noble residence of the Viti family, whose fortunes are mainly attributable to the alabaster trade. To date, the residence has been transformed into a house museum where it is possible to admire, in the rooms on the main floor, sumptuous period furnishings and art objects from all over the world. A visit with great visual impact. The paper guides are a little inconvenient; However, there is staff available to provide information.

This little palace is really nothing exceptional and paying 15 euros for our family while prohibiting us from taking videos (incomprehensible), makes it a place that I did not particularly appreciate

Bellissimo palazzo nel centro storico di Volterra. Nulla è lasciato al caso, è tutto molto curato ed elegante. L’esperienza è stata davvero una sorpresa: la signora che ci ha accolti non ci ha solo raccontato la storia dietro a Palazzo Viti, ma ci ha accompagnati in un viaggio ricco di dettagli, davvero entusiasmante. Consigliato vivamente!!

Palazzo Viti, situato nella pittoresca città di Volterra, è una straordinaria dimora storica che offre un'esperienza unica ai visitatori. Ricco di pregi estetici e storici, questo palazzo del XIX secolo è un tesoro nascosto che merita di essere scoperto.
Palazzo Viti vanta una ricca storia, iniziata nel 1850 con la sua costruzione da parte della famiglia Viti e in particolare da Giuseppe Viti, uno dei più importanti commercianti di alabastro dell'intera penisola. Oggi, il palazzo è stato trasformato in un museo. Gli ambienti del raccontano la storia della famiglia Viti e della città di Volterra, attraverso oggetti d'epoca, documenti e fotografie.
Nell'agosto scorso, Palazzo Viti è stato il teatro di un nostro progetto cinematografico, offrendo una location affascinante e suggestiva. La bellezza del palazzo e la sua atmosfera storica hanno contribuito a creare un'ambientazione da sogno per le riprese.
Personale gentile e professionale. Il loro supporto e la loro disponibilità nel fornirci informazioni e assistenza hanno reso la nostra esperienza ancor più piacevole e indimenticabile.
