Well Worth Visiting

We were visiting beautiful Eguisheim and hadn’t realised that it was also the home of Wolfberger. This was fortunate, because we wanted to buy some Cremant d’Alsace and we remembered that we had recently enjoyed a Wolfberger example. We received a very warm welcome at the very smart looking tasting area, where we were able to ask questions and try a taste of 6 of their wines (3 per person), all accompanied by a good explanation of each variety. That done, we bought ourselves a mix of our favourites to take away, together with a box of glasses - all at sensible prices. The store itself is very attractive and an air-conditioned haven on a hot day!

We almost had a bit of a disaster once we were back at the car and realised we’d mislaid one of our mobile phones but, having retraced our steps, it was found safe and sound and looked after by one of the lovely staff at the tasting bar. Phew!

A really enjoyable visit and well worth seeing when in Eguisheim.

The best showroom in the village

More than thirty wine houses are established in the village. The Wolfberger showroom is located at the entrance to the village and is probably the largest. There is a small explanatory room, a large sales room with shelves and a bar for tasting. I wish I had paid a little more so I could try more than three drinks. You can buy on site but the prices are those on the site.

Very professional attention

Producing winery with a wide range of Alsatian wines and the possibility of tasting. We knew what we wanted to buy, but the staff cleared up our doubts with a guided tasting. Place to advise.

Nice cooperative cellar

Passing through this small village, we ended the visit with the cooperative cellar.

The place is magnificent, a small museum to explain the cellar with scents found in the different wines.

At the bar we can enjoy 3 glasses per person with real connoisseurs. This makes it easy to know our tastes.

The price is correct as a quality-price purchase.

Mooie sortering wijnen.

Tijdens onze vakantie in Eguisheim dit mooie wijnhuis bezocht. We zijn al vaker in de Elzas geweest en nemen graag mooie flesjes mee naar huis. Dat is hier geen probleem. Het is sowieso een prachtige zaak met aan het begin een soort van eiland waar je kunt proeven. Dat hebben we niet gedaan omdat het daar redelijk druk was. Bij alle wijnen liggen folders met uitgebreide toelichting. Bijvoorbeeld waar de wijn t beste bij past, hoe lang je 'em kunt bewaren etc. Op basis hiervan wat mooie flessen meegenomen, waaronder een Crand Cru van een heuvel waar we langs zijn gefietst. Hoe leuk is dat? Later nog een keer teruggegaan voor Pinot Noir, Cremant en een mooie dessertwijn.

Warm welcome, good wine

Super friendly welcome, excellent range of wines, stunning room, and parking which is at a premium in the village.
Also you can taste 3 different things for free with no obligation to buy, not the same in some other domaines there!
Finally good linguistic skills, staff that I saw were fluent in English and German
