We came here to hunt a few geocaches in the park. We loved walking along the paved trails around the pond and the little one hunted dandelions in the grass.
The park had plenty of parking and was perfect for a short stroll in great March weather!

New town park is well maintained park with lots of space and great walking / running trails. There is variety in the terrain which is nice walking the trails. One unique thing about this park is the dog park which is the nicest dog park I've seen anywhere. There is always activity with intramural / recreational sports and during the spring and summer there are also special days for farmers market or festivals.

While Newtown Park has many functions and activities, the only one that matters to us is the dog park. It is awesome. My dog loves the water fountains.

This dog park was created through a Purina contest. its very unqiue although it's starting to get a little warn down. It's great if you don't want your dog to get all muddy from a typical dog park. Sometimes its very busy and there are also a lot of people that stand in the middle of the park.

It is packed with people who do not pick up after their dog. It smells horrible. The wooded area next to the dog park is much nicer.

Always a great experience! Lots of space for my dog to run, climb, chase and "swim". Most people keep a close eye on their pet, so I feel safe bringing mine to play.

Given the location in the middle of a very busy area, it is nice to have a park you can go to that allows for a little time away from the hustle and bustle. They have a dog park that is top notch, but we did not use it. They have a small lake/pond and different trails you can walk. All in all, a nice little place to stop and take a break.
