We attended the golf club for a wedding ceremony and follow up evening event. The staff where excellent and couldn’t do enough for you. The room was presented beautifully at a basic level allowing us to decorate and titivate to our own tastes. The food they provided for the buffet was first class and the happy couple informed me the Price was very very reasonable. Do well done too one and all of the staff.

Whalley Golf Club is not only a golf course and club house it is also a very good venue for meetings of up to 100 people.
We had our AGM there and it suited us well. We had a meal to follow.
On the 12th March we will be back there again for a socila event.

Had an amazing wedding there! Staff so helpful and made sure it all went smoothly. Great price and great setting!

I popped in here for 9 holes of golf with my 8 and 10 year olds whilst on holiday in Lancashire. I must confess I had low expectations given the very reasonable green fees. How wrong was I? The course is in really nice condition with some challenging holes which utilise the side of thd Valleys slopes well. The weather was great the day we played so the views were far reaching and stunning. I have to say sll the fellow players we spoke to were super friendly. Having a junior tee off up the fairways was a nice touch thst my kids loved. I wad tempted to give this a bad review to keep this a hidden gem to myself. Just to prewarn it opens late for a GC so dont get caught out.
The food in the clubhouse too was very reasonable and well worth popping in for after a round.

I was stopping locally at the excellent Mitton Hall and has been thinking about playing here for years.
A nice course, great looking club house and I was made to feel welcome by the pro.
The shop looked well stocked and the course itself was in good condition. Being a 9 hole course with 18 tees it can be busy at times and I guess the holes must get some wear.
There are some very challenging holes and some less so. I enjoyed playing here and hope to come again.

Firstly must state I am a member here so very biased. I joined about 3 1/2 years ago and was made very welcome from the very beginning. Recently constructed glass fronted balcony allows superb views whilst having a drink after you have finished your round. Clubhouse / restaurant / bar is open daily excluding Mondays offering really good food at reasonable prices. Friendly and helpful local pro great for helping those starting in the game. The club also has a thriving junior section. Come visit us and you’ll love it.

Had lunch and 9 holes with the family. The 9 hole course is a lovely romp and the food is prepared with care by a skilled hand at making tasty home cooked food. Great value for money and really friendly.

Whalley is a lovely 9 hole golf course, close to Clitheroe, Lancs.
You can play 9 or 18 holes, off different tees, if you want. It is exceptionally well kept & in excellent condition throughout the year. It is a challenging course, & has some difficult holes. Particularly the 2nd, a par 5, the 5th, another par 5, when the wind is against, & the 9th, a par 3 over water. It is a fairly open parkland type course, but the rough can be a problem. The greens are reasonably quick, with subtle slopes, most of them guarded by bunkers. It doesn't get over busy, so you can play quietly, whilst taking in the lovely views.
I have been a member here, & still come & play fairly regularly, now I'm not. Afterwards, I normally go in the club house for lunch, & the food is great. Well prepared by Julia, & her staff. You should try it. it's also good for a Sunday lunch as well.
The rates are reasonable in both winter & summer, & you will find the pro, Jamie Hunt very helpful & pleasant, & can provide lessons if you need them. He hires out electric or manual trolleys. There is a small practice area, some nets, & a putting green. All in all a day well spent. You should try it, you won't be disappointed.
