Excellent professionals who in 5 minutes inform you of the regulations, transfer and interior of Mont Saint Michel. The office agent who attended us was very attentive, nice and Pro. Always with a smile. Negative, toilet facilities, dirty.

After parking and before taking the shuttle, we stopped for a pee-stop and to look at the souvenirs. Toilets that should be maintained more frequently because of the exaggerated tourist access.

The place is beautiful but paying 8.50 euros to park a motorcycle 15mn is a real raket. They abuse and the tourist is always the pigeon .....

Indeed beautiful site!! But one word "business"!!
To climb to the top of the site; pay even if you do not visit the cathedral!
Dog not allowed in the cathedral I can understand but at least enjoy the view , impossible!!
Museums , just made that of the dungeons , 15 min visit , to see 3 cells and qql explanations;9€!!
And let's not talk about parking;
2h30; 21€!!!!
Frankly it is a total exaggeration!!

The tourist information center is located at the central parking lot for Mont St. Michel, conveniently close to the shuttle bus departure point. Spacious, modern interior design, information can be accessed in audio/video and paper format. The employees are very friendly, courteous and patient and try to answer all questions. And that even with a massive rush of visitors.
There is also a free toilet.

To get to Mont Saint-Michel, take the train to Rennes, then a bus. When you start to see Mont Saint-Michel in the distance, you'll know that the bus has arrived. From here, transfer to the free shuttle bus to Mont Saint-Michel. There is nothing around the bus stop, so you have to walk a little to the shuttle bus's departure and arrival point. Walk a little. In front of the shuttle bus is this tourist information center. There are toilets and various pamphlets. There was a small souvenir shop, but no restaurants. In Japan, these places are always filled with flashy restaurants, but this is a measure against overtourism. There is no flashy production at all. Even though it is such a tourist destination, cars are not allowed and there are not many accommodations. It is very French, and I think it is a very good thing. However, on the way back, it rained quite heavily, and there was no place to shelter from the rain. This was the only shelter. I'm glad it was there.

Ein absolut magischer Ort. Vor allem Abends wenn die Tagestouristen weg sind und man teilweise alleine durch die Gassen laufen kann.

Parking à 2750 m du Mont. Possibilité de faire pied ou par navette gratuite, ou plutôt compris dans prix parking à 17 €. Dommage navette avec énergie thermique éthanol. Odeur pas agréable quand passage proche piétons. WC et caisse parking derrière centre INFO.

Не могу похвалить, так как офис очень маленький, людей много, очереди. Карт аббатства бесплатных не дали. Информации на русском языке, к сожалению, нет, брали на французском. Но зато много платных сувениров и открыток, больше похож на бутик.

This review is based on a self driving tour of Normandy...
We arrived in early November, so we parked near the shuttle bus. There is a charge for parking which can be paid at the staging area for the shuttle bus (which is included) or at kiosks on the path to the staging area.
The shuttle bus will take you near the base of the mount; it's up to you to walk the rest of the way . Once inside the walls, the path is steep with multiple restaurants and souvenir shops along the way. No elevator or escalators available. At the very top is the abbey. We had the guided tour which was fine. Also available is an audio tour which may have been a bit better as you progress on you own pace. Spectacular views and photo ops from the top and within the abbey.
Plan for 3 to 5 hours from start to finish.
