Vue imprenable sur le Mont St Michel, un merveilleux séjour en octobre avec une affluence moindre par rapport aux mois d’été.

This dam was installed relatively recently and helps to control the flow of the river and prevent too much silting up of the bay of Mont Saint-Michel. There are some signs with more information about the dam and how it works which we found really interesting. We attempted to time things to be there right as the dam opened to let water through but missed it. That said, we enjoyed looking at the mechanisms and watching the water flow through. Also, the dam has a nice walkway and seating area, from which you get wonderful views of the abbey. We spent two nights at a hotel nearby and took multiple opportunities to visit the dam and see the views at various times of day.

Un punto interesante para tener buena vista del Mont Saint Michel, no excepcional, pero recomendable. Es la parada intermedia del shuttle.

Un très bel ouvrage qui ne necessite pas énormément de temps dans un planning charté, qui permet un très beau point de vue sur le Mont et qui fourmille des renseignements sur son fonctionnement et son usage

Situé sur le barrage du Couesnon permet une vue dégagée avec la rivière sur le mont ST MICHEL. On peut y accéder à pied par le centre de BEAUVOIR en empruntant la voie verte qui longe la rivière. Cela évite de payer le parking. Vue magnifique sur le mont ST MICHEL surtout le soir avec le soleil couchant. Gratuit.

The barrage connects the mainland where you must park your car with St. Michel.
For the best experience I suggest walking to St. Michel's over the barrage as you're facing it directly for around 45 min you need to reach it. You will be awarded with many different perspectives and photo ops.
However, on your way back (after 4-5 hrs visiting and climbing the Abbey) take the shuttle bus back.

Nous avons passés un bon moment à contempler le Mont Saint Michel, que de bon souvenir a refaire je ne ferai que cette partie mais je ne ferai pas la visite à l’intérieur du Mont Saint Michel trop de monde, et tout est payant

La petite esplanade recouvrant le barrage est une extraordinaire russite !!! y passer 1h peu après la tombée de la nuit pour admirer ce monument remarquablement éclairé, et inspire+++ le bonheur!
