Absolutely loved this place. Yes we waited 1hr 30minutes to play but it was worth it. Drinks service was very slow when ordering to table or golf tee area. Food items were served before drinks got to us. Staff friendly

I have never had service so bad as I have in this place ordered 2 orders of food 1 minute apart and they try to serve them to us 30 minutes apart then when I refuse to take my food the manager tries to come out and persuade me to keep my food that I now don’t want obviously. He asks if I’m going to go hungry now and when I said my bay was due in 10 minutes (I ordered my food 1 HOUR before my booking time) and he said well you have a 10 minute wait time so this manager expects me to eat my food in 10 minutes? It was like I was asking for the world when I ask for my food to be refunded for it being so terrible. I also had no cutlery or napkins on my table. Then to top it off I had to ask someone to clean my table (was like asking the girl to cut her arm off) becuase there was sticky stuff all over the table and dirty tissues!!! Way to make me want my food 👍🏼thanks top golf for a terrible Saturday evening

Massively disappointed. Went last night, and been looking forward to it for quite a while. After queuing for 35mins, then all 6 of us having to sign up as members, taking all 6 of our names, address, D.O.B (far too much nonsense for a night out). We were then told we would have to wait 2hours for our game. After queuing at the bar for quite some time, we finally got our drinks. When we ordered the drinks from the waiter, it took another 20mins for them to bring drinks over. We finally got our game, 3hours. We had 2 games booked and paid for but was told near the end of 1st game that we were out of time and had to leave. Went to get a refund for the game we didn’t get to play but all they could offer was a free game next time….I have no interest in returning though so now I am out of pocket aswell. Not the night we were all looking forward to!

Total rip off. We paid around £100 to play 2 games not including 1 drink each and a snack.
£40 extra to queue jump which we thought included the 2 games of golf, should have read the small print. But why did we need to become member at £2 each per person for 30 days.
Seems they try to get as much money out of you as possible. Total rip off should have just gone to a golf driving range instead.
Wont be going back and certainly can’t recommend.

Had a wicked time again at Top golf chigwell. We took our son Olly for his bday for the first time ever and he loved it. and Sylvester and the team spoiled him with a surprise cake and strawberries for his birthday. That was sooo sweet and we are thankful. We have become lifetime member now so we will be back again and again.

Terrible experience today visiting here for my sons birthday treat. First of all we booked for 12 people and were given 2 bays, we expressed that we would like to be on the second floor and it was explained to us that we wouldn’t be next to the each. We were fine with that and that it would be a half an hour wait, again fine with that. After 45 minutes we finally become position 1 and waited for a message to say our bays were ready. Then checking again it then said position 9 and 10. They had changed us to the bottom floor without telling us. We then asked for the second floor again and were told 5 minutes. After another 30 minutes we finally got to our bays. Food we ordered was incomplete, drinks we ordered for the children we didn’t receive. Waited half an hour for cutlery even after asking 3 times. Half of our party also had to wait another half hour for their food. Shocking service, staff standing around talking and showing no urgency or care at all. Throughly disappointed!

I would leave 0 ratings if possible, however 1 star will do. New rule is ridiculous, why not just allow under 18s, but everyone is allowed to play one game?!! We’ve been waiting since 7pm and was told we cannot play because we have 17 year olds with us. Why not just tell us before we paid??? SCAMMERS

Not a great experience.
Came here with my son for his birthday on a Saturday to play some golf.
We have been here before and had fairly good experiences, but this time it was not good.
We are both golfers and brought clubs. Most people there are not golfers. Most people there spend their time eating and drinking rather than golfing.
E.g we could see a group (through the glass) who had finished golf 30mins ago, but were contentedly sitting at the table in the bay having a few drinks, not vacating their golf bay. Pretty annoying when you are waiting for a bay, along with 25 other people.
We had to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes to get a golf bay. 25 people in the queue before us. A ridiculous time to wait really.
They need to change their system. Either limit the number of people, or limit the time they have in the bays during busy times.
We won't be going back.
Will go to the normal driving range next time. Waiting time there is 0 minutes and it's half the price.
Giving it 2 stars, as the manager was quite sympathetic/helpful when I complained about the length of our wait. We ordered food/drinks, which were fine, but we came for the golf.

We had a lady called sue serving us and she couldn't of been more attentive she was so friendly and was so lovely brilliant with the kids . Excellent customer service

How often do you have to wait, and how long are wait times?
If I went with 12 people would it be hard to get two bays next to each other?

You have to wait quite a long time if it’s over the weekend. The hack to get 2 bays next to each other is to go to the counter and say you know a young man called Uzzy, this will instantly reward you with 2 bays!

You can book a booth but it's £360 Inc £150 on food and drink so I wouldn't bother.
I went midday on a half term and it was rammed but still only had to wait ½ hr. That's the only time I've ever had to wait in the dozen times I've been.

Monday and Tuesday are probably the best time to go if going in the evening. Friday and Saturday you are looking around a 2 hour wait which is plenty of time if your looking to eat and drink in their beforehand.

Hi At weekends expect a very long wait 2 hour+ including 30 mins in queue just waiting to find out how long you have to wait to play. Its all set up to make you buy expensive food and drink not just the golf!
