The re-creation of a Baroque home for all to see is impressive. There are four floors in total with the upper two being for older displays going back as far as Roman times. A very helpful guide in English is given to borrow and the presentation of the rooms is very good. Very good entrance fee of 3€ and it’s a cash only venue.

Exciting.
While making the walk around beautiful old streets so nice to enter one of these typical houses and feel the atmosphere of an old times. We where joined by an intelligent guide who gave us a great input with an atmosphere and detailed historical facts in a very exciting manner.

Die Barockvilla Böcking ist ein Patrizierhaus das mit der originalen Einrichtung vollständig erhalten geblieben ist. So gibt sie Einblicke in die Lebenswelt des reichen Großbürgertums vom Barock bis zum Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts. Die einzelnen Räume sind jeweils gut beschrieben und man kann sich ausgiebig am früheren Prunk eines reichen Kaufmanns erfreuen. Nur wenige Tage zuvor hatte ich im Bauernhof-Museum Wolfegg die Lebenswelt einfacher Bauern gesehen und so wirkte der Kontrast umso stärker auf mich. Insgesamt ist die Barockvilla Böcking ein echtes Highlight das ich jedem empfehlen möchte, der sich für Geschichte interessiert!

Deze Barockvilla in der Böcking heeft zoveel te laten zien, 20 prachtige kamers - van stijlkamers tot kunstverzamelingen, van keuken naar muziekkamer etc. Je gaat terug in de tijd door trappen te lopen naar een volgende etage!

In stijl ingericht woonhuis dat in 1750 gebouwd is. Enkele meubelstukken behoren origineel bij het huis, maar de meeste stukken dateren alleen uit dezelfde periode en zijn in het museum geplaatst om de goede sfeer te krijgen.
Het is leuk om er doorheen te wandelen. In ieder vertrek is informatie te vinden over de inrichting. In één van de vertrekken waren kasten en materialen uit de oude, plaatselijke apotheek ondergebracht, wat onze bijzondere aandacht had.
Op de zolder zijn archeologische vondsten uit de omgeving te vinden (o.a. Mont Royal).
Al met al leuk om even een kijkje te nemen.

Wir haben heute das Mittelmoselmuseum in Trarbach besucht. Das Leben der damaligen Familie wird anschaulich und interessant dargestellt. Dazu hat uns eine Mitarbeiterin eine (kostenlos) Privatführung gegeben und uns auch viele interessante Geschichten rund um Traben-Trarbach erzählt.

This small museum in the beautiful former home of the richest inhabitants in the town at the time gives us a good taste of how life was in the Mosel in the ‘olden days’.
At EUR 3 for the entrance fee it’s a bargain too!

Unbedingt einen Besuch wert. Schöne erhaltene Villa. Man fühlt sich zurückversetzt in die um 1750.

18th Barok villa, which has been converted to a museum. Well maintained, very interesting to learn about the life of the master of the house. Worth while the visite.
