今天走了15公里，攀高186米。今天我是华为手机好友步行里第一名。第一次哈。
今天很多活动，首先去了当地最著名的NEBELHORN的山坐缆车登高。可惜天气不好，只坐缆车到第一个 "烽火台".海拔1285米。一共有三个烽火台，最高的的海拔2224米。可惜早上山顶上是大雾。所以只在第一站下车了。山上牛儿壮，牛铃声声，既浪漫又田园。
下午去的地方好玩。叫BREITACHKLAMM.有点像国内的张家界，沿着一个深涧走，很多时候很惊险。从高往下看，脚发软。要走一个小时。有探险的味道。出了深涧要走回停车场，翻山越岭的。10公里就是在山间，林间行走的。空气很清新。很多都是全家老小出游。
Oberstdorf是德国人的度假胜地。到处都是度假屋。
有空再写攻略。最近觉得自己是旅游老司机了。

等缆车地方有很长的队伍。队伍从早上8点半就开始了，直到16:30分才结束。在顶部或者低一点的站点，你可以选择步行。有些地方很容易，你不需要穿特殊的鞋子。你周围景色让人很开心。你一定要完成这次经历，你整天都可以徒步。在周末人会有点多。这地方离市中心不远。你也可以步行过来。

缆车带我们登上了Nebelhorn，在峰顶有餐厅和遮阳露台。这里有一条很好的登高的小径，一路上还能伴着牛玲的声音，这还很可能也能通到Fellhorn。

嘉年华这个星期，运送人群上山的容纳能力远远不够。我得送我儿子去滑雪学校，我没办法早点儿上山，所以我不得不排队等了一个半小时。一个度假胜地，最主要的项目就是滑雪下山，这让人沮丧，因为如果你想避免在山下重新排队上山的话，你只能干脆别滑下去了。和奥地利其他度假胜地比起来，这里根本没办法匹敌。

How long, at least approximately, does it take to go from the bottom to the top? And how long at the top on average?

On the Blue runs it would take around an hour + but the very top was shut off due to the high winds, it was only open as a view point.
Itâs a fantastic mountain to ski on!

Will the cable car to Nebelhorn be open on May 22nd this year? I thought I read elsewhere that it won’t be open until later but then I’m seeing reviews and pics on here from early May in past years. Thanks!

May is a very popular time outside the skiing season, so better be early at the lift. There are 3 stations to the top and you have to change gondolas each time. We disembarked at the second one and hiked to the top. This can take 2 hours but at the peak there is a restaurant and one can relax and enjoy the sights. Plan a full day for this outing as you may want to watch the paragliders and discover flora and fauna.

how much time should be allotted for travel up the mountain and back down. (all the way to Nebelhorn)…? will there be time to hike if we arrive in the morning hours

Hello Lucille! It takes approximately 20-25 minutes for the cable car ride itself. How long it will actually take you to go up and down depends on the waiting times, which we can hardly forecast. But we recommend to arrive between 08.30am and 09:00 am as the waiting times are usually the shortest at that time of day. That would also give you enough time for a hike of about 7 hours before you take the gondola back down to the valley.

I'm thinking of skiing at Oberstdorf next February, with my two teenage daughters who have each previously been on two one-week ski trips with their school.
Would you recommend Oberstdorf, and can you recommend anywhere to stay?
Some specific questions:
1. what are the queues like, both for the initial cable car and once on the mountain?
2. what options are available for visiting the other nearby ski mountains (e.g. Felhorn); is there a shuttle bus, and does one lift pass cover all?
3. In February is it typically possible to ski all the way down into the town from the top of Nebelhorn, and, if so, how difficult is the terrain?

So there are buses connecting all three lifts, the my all run through oberstdorf.
A good place to stay is the Oberstforf Hostel. It's very well priced and very clean!
Skiing is easy there are 4 different gondolas going up different areas, all have green and blue slopes coming off them, you can ski right down into some towns but only of you run down the Fell-horn into oberstdorf (it's a red or black).
The list pass covers sll the areas and is typically 37 euros a day, you can get ones just for each lift area at a reduced rate.
