Over the bridge in Kues, this winery is cool inside, which invites you to sample their multitude of local wines. Tasting sessions last at least 1.5hrs. I wasn’t a fan of German wines until I tried their local concoctions. Now I’m converted - love 'em!

We visited the museum cellar which is currently closed to visitors, for a tasting without Reservation. We had the pleasure of meeting an Expert sommelier who guided us through a journey of 10 wines all Riesling in purity trocken vintages 2022-2023 but from different areas of the Moselle. Then the comparison moved on to another 2 vintages of 2018 with passage in oak to feel the evolution of the wine. Finally 2 Pinot Blancs. The tasting is free and costs 30 € with the opportunity to taste 150 labels but we were lucky enough to have a tailor-made teaching lesson. Very didactic and pleasant. Thanks for the welcome. In the end we bought most of the wines tasted for him we liked. Try the wines of the volcanic zone, very surprising!!!

We did a wine tasting with Vesper in a group there. Super nice staff, the concept that you can taste the wine you like, that you have all the wines to choose from, just great. Nice advice and explanations. Super high quality Vespers in great premises! Definitely recommended also for the price.

Ok, as a museum, it's basically... meh. But that's not why you come here. If you like Reisling, then nothing beats all-you-can drink wine tasting. You get a self-serve glass, and you can stay there as long as you want. Is it the best wine in the Mosel? Maybe not, but with 130 or so bottles, you're bound to find something you like, and the wine is all very affordable.

Unfortunately, the museum could no longer be visited. And it doesn't look like the museum will open again anytime soon. We could not be given a reason.

Unfortuantely, the winemuseum itself was closed. However, a visit to the winecellar was worth it. Over 100 wines can be tasted, varieing from red to white to rose to bubbles. You can go at your own pace, as there is no guide or winemaker. There is a lot of information provided on the panels above the wines. If you want to try different Mosel wines, I recommend to go here.

For 18 EUR per person, you can taste 150 wines in their cellar - what's not to like? Don't expect a lot of explanation however, you are given a glass and you can just take the wines out of the fridge and taste. Every wine has a little sign with a bit of explanation about the winery, but I missed information about taste notes for example. So come prepared and armed with your trusted wine app, and be sure to calculate at least one hour of your time. Afterwards you can buy any of the wines that you've tried. The prices were similar to what you would pay at the producer. If you're in Bernkastel, I would highly recommend a visit!

It’s all self-serve. You have a list with the wines and numbers. You go down into the cellar and find the numbered wine in a cooler. There is also information on the vineyards and wine makers. You can taste as many or little as you want, no time limit.
