Lots of history and a nice place to spend an hour or so. It gives your a history of the area and time line. Well worth the money. Very well maintained . You can do a solo tour or a hand held guided tour. This is a beautiful area and easy to get to from the trains.

Belle visite en famille, un peut du déjà vue mais c'est un avis personnel.
Je pense il faut connaitre la culture de cet endrois. Moi je ne suis pas trop ancien du coup pas apprécié ma visite j'étais glacée

L'accueil est très sympa, et on a la possibilité de louer un audioguide.
Le musée possède une belle collection d'objets historique et permet une visite du château.
Cependant, il est très facile de s'y perdre, on descend, et on remonte au lieu d'avoir un circuit bien établi.

Das Gebäude selber ist schon imposant, aber die Ausstellung bietet einige erstaunliche Fundstücke aus römischer Zeit: Silberbesteck, das wie neu aussieht und zwei grosse Holzschiffe, von denen eines sehr gut erhalten ist.

Nous n’avions pas planifié cette visite mais nous avons été très surpris de trouver ce très beau musée bien documenté notamment avec la complémentarité de l’audiophone et des textes dans les salles. Les personnes qui s’occupent du musée sont très accueillantes et connaissent très bien l’histoire de leur ville et du musée. Une superbe découverte !

Helpful staff, good audio guide, welll laid out , lots of history info but the surprise was the 3 ancient wooden boats in a great stage of preservation and beautifully presented.

J'ai pourtant fait fait mes écoles dans la ville, mais je n'ai jamais vraiment appris son histoire. J'ai donc visité le château avec ma mère. C'était très sympa et on y découvre plein de choses.

The museum is housed in the Chateau d'Yverdon, thus it is an interesting location in itself. The museum has exhibits with artifacts from the stone and bronze ages up until today. Many archaeological finds, as well as ancient canoes, paintings, sculptures, mosaics, furniture, old bikes, military clothing, some Ancient Egyptian findings, and even semi-modern artifacts showing the industrial influence on the city of Yverdon. Informative videos and some interactive exhibits make this a well-rounded museum.
