On a fait environ 2h de montée en faisant quelques petites pause ravitaillement et admiration de la vue. Chemin super bien préparé avec des barrières sur les zones peureuses, des petits bancs à l ombre sur la 2 eme partie. Arrivée en haut vue magnifique et accès à d autres rando et à Daubensee ! Resto très beau au sommet ! Descente en cabine ( un peu cher toutefois 25.- par personne la descente avec les 3.- de rabais taxe séjours)

Super mooie omgeving, makkelijk te bereiken met de kabelbaan. Allemaal goed en netjes geregeld. Het meer kan wandelend worden bezocht vanaf de 1e kabelbaan, of er kan een tweede korte rit worden genomen naar Daubensee. Een prachtig uitzicht en heerlijke omgeving om te wandelen. De geiten lopen er los rond en daar loop je gewoon tussendoor.

La montée et descente en téléphérique est super sympa, le prix beaucoup moins à 70€ pour deux personnes.
La randonnée est pas mal avec un côté vraiment facile plutôt à plat et l’autre versant avec plus de petits chemins escarpés. Le bémol est la vue gâchée par les énormes pylônes électriques qui traverses la vallée. Nous avons pu observer des personnes sur la via ferrata.

Zona davvero bella, immersa nella natura e con numerosi sentieri di diversa difficoltà. Consigliati i sentieri per il lago Daubensee e la capanna Lämmerenhütte.

Le col de la Gemmi. C’est un passage historique entre le canton de Bern et le canton du Valais. Devant le village de Leukerbad, il y a un immense mur franchissable uniquement en téléphérique en hier et à pied en été. Le téléphérique coute bon marché. En haut, il y a un haut plateau avec un lac. Il y a aussi une petite télécabine pour les promeneurs et les lugeurs. Il y a aussi un hôtel et un restaurant panoramique. Un bon restaurant un peu cher. Il y a aussi une plateforme qui emmène les spectateurs dans le vide. Une belle balade dans la neige.

Ich lief am Freitag von Sunnbühl zum Gemmi Pass eine wunderschöne Wanderung durch Natur und landschaftschutzgebiet. Bis Schwarenbach war es ruhig und ich war mit 2 Leuten unterwegs dann gab es gegeverkehr. Etwas weiteroben kam ich zum Daubensee wo es wenig Wasser hatte. Nach gut 2 1/2 Stunden erreichte ich die Gemmihütte. Zurück bin ich mit der Gemmibahn mit Bus und Bahn nach Kandersteg. Die schnellste Verbindung dauert 1 Stunde und 30 Minuten ab Leukerbad.

Cable car to the top of the Gemmi pass leads to a very pleasant walk around the Daubensee lake. Proper walking shoes required for some parts of the walk. Terrific views from the Gemmi Lodge and an excellent restaurant as an extra. Plenty of other walks, including to the glacier, available at the Gemmi pass.

A must-do if you visit the Leukerbad area. We took the Gemmi-Bahnen, Leukerbad to reach the summit and then walked around the area of the Gemmi Pass. During our visit, there was fresh snow and hence the views were amazing. We walked till the lake, around 15 mins of walk. There is the Wild Strubel Berg Hotel at the Berg Station. Wonderful experience with the family.

Une jolie lieu juste avec les première neiges, Mais alors le vent ce jours là. On avait vraiment bien froid dans le visage. Ma femme et le petit sont resté au chaud au restaurant et je suis aller me balader avec ma fille.

Hi,
I will be at Kandersteg in August. What is the best way to reach the Gemmi Pass? I understand that there is a cable car right at Kandersteg, should I take it? where does it bring me? Do I have still a long way to go after that before reaching the Pass?
Some people talk about going to Dauhenhorn by car first, is it a good alternative? how long to get to the pass from there?

In fact I would like to know what is the best way to go from Kandersteg to -Gemmi PASS, spend some time there and go back to Kandersteg in the same day.

There is a famous slide not far from Kandersteg (ww w.cnt raveler. com/ stories/2016-03-09/switzerland-mounta in-coaster-lets-you-slide-down -the-alps) and I would love to know how to get there, as in which transportation to use, which station, etc., along with the closest or the most strategic hotel (one with great landscape views preferably). Other than the slide, I also want to hike through the Gemmi pass. How long will the hike take? What things should we prepare beforehand? and i also would like to confirm whether the location of the Gemmi pass is near the slide or at least, Kandersteg area.

The slide is at Oeschinesee and can be reached via a gondola lift. The slide is at the end of the gondola ride which takes sabout 10 minutes to complete . This gondola is in the centre of the village. The nearest hotel (3 *) is the Ermitage which is very pleasant, comfortable with some excellent food. If you require a budget hotel not too far away (10 min walk) try the Post which is far bettewr than the 1* rating , in the centre of the village and very much a traditional hotel. The Gemmi pass is at the far end of the village (bus from the centre) and is best reached by the Sunnbuel cable car (avoid 2 hour uphill slog). The walk via the Swarenbach hotel (worth stopping for refreshment and celebrate the fact that some interesting people have visited here (Lenin, Mark Twain). The whole walk takes about 3 hours and at th top of the pass the descent to Leukerbad is best undertaken by cable car, but can be walked. The bus joirney down to Leuk is spectacular and very enjoyable unless you worry about hairpin bends.
