We spent a couple of hours here just walking and enjoying the sea air. An wonderful bonus was watching 6-8 seals resting on sandbanks in a creek to the west of the golf course.

A wonderful piece of coastline, perfect for a lovely walk and relaxing break, especially out of season. The only problem is that the absolute, rip off parking taking place. Clearly being managed badly, poor signage in complete contradiction to the British Parking association with cash often being taken in hand by people allegedly working for the golf course when asked. Be aware or take a walk to visit the location rather than the car and the pothole ridden piece of dirt they try and call a car park.

So the beach is a vast sandy expanse ….. especially at low tide and very good - but ….. and it’s a big but the car park charge of £11 for anything over 2 hours is bordering criminal. Up to 2 hours it’s £5 which is bad enough, but it’s a bumpy field on the Norfolk coast not the middle of Knightsbridge. They’ll probably mention investment, upkeep and suchlike but the kiosk is a wooden shed like building and the toilets are limited so one is left with the taste of opportunism and greed.

Its a lovely beach and easy to get a spot not far from the car park
The car park itself is the issue I’m afraid . Utterly shocking behaviour from the owners, the golf club
Only two payment options. Up to two hours £5. More than two hours £11 .
Good luck if you are happy to pay £11 for a day on the beach, however much wealth you have.
And its full of pot holes and badly maintained.
My advice is not to appease these Dick Turpins , go to Wells or Holkham . Neither of these are cheap but at least their revenue goes to making things better.
But by all means stand, stare and laugh at the members teeing off just next to the car park. Put pressure on them. Make life difficult for them . Try to ruin their day .

A stunning beach but the sea goes out so far you can't actually see it at low tide.
Our criticism is that the tranquility is ruined by yapping dogs. It's so vast could the beach not be spit so dogs are only allowed in one area. It was impossible to get away from them barking and yelping. I think there were more dogs than people on it.

Lovely dog friendly beach. Golden sand, beach kiosk, ice creams, coffee and toilets but no amusements which was great. Big car park too. Well signed and not far off the A149

Fantastic I loved it saw seals and had a 8.26 km walk claimed land and drove out dry but got stuck in quick sand got helped out so 9/10

On a wet & windy November day its likely you'll have the whole place to yourself! Golden sands in both directions as far as the eye could see. Spectacular beach, even when wet and windy!

Beautiful sandy beach on the North Norfolk coast. Clear blue and cool water and sandy shore make for an ideal day out with family or friends especially in warm weather. Short drive from Hunstanton and King's Lynn. Parking is nearby with plenty of spaces. Just check for the tides before visiting as the beach becomes unreachable when there is high tide.

We adore this beach. Family holiday heaven. The children can run play dig and with no near amusements they enjoy and old fashioned day at the seaside
Which means parents do too
When not with the family it is beautiful to sit and watch the world go by and the sea come in or go out a very very long way

They are now open. People please take your Litter home so it doesn’t make the area like a Refuse Tip.

I would say most definitely not ! It would almost certainly be frowned upon. (who wants smelly smoke next to them anyway)

Yes they are - to the right as you enter the beach - left is no dogs - there is only one main route to the beach , hope this helps

Sorry I do not know & did not see anyone riding during our visit. Looking at the size of the beach I can not see why it would not be OK. There is a golf club at the entrance to the beach perhaps the y could help?

I would hope not. This is really a nature reserve more than a light fires on the beach type of place. I am not definate about it. I do think that I would object and suspect others would too.
