Second visit here and just as good as the first. The accommodation isn't flash but perfectly adequate for a couple of nights. The course is a delight to play even if you're not having the best round. The scenery and serenity is great. The proshop staff are friendly and helpful. The club house restaurant provides excellent food and beverages for dinner and breakfast and the staff are very friendly and helpful. If you enjoy golf then Bonville should be on your bucket list. Will definitely be back again.

Took a side trip to have a look at the course & decide if we would like to stay & play golf however we were told that we couldn’t have a lunch or coffee & were sent on our way.

This place has so much potential, but a real shame it is let down by poor, expensive accommodation. Gathered by the defensive replies to some of the negative reviews on Tripadvisor, it may also be let down by management unwilling to listen.
We came as a playing and non-playing couple.
The golf course is delightful. Kept my partner very happy. Restaurant view overlooking the course was spectacular.
The service throughout, everyone from the staff at the front desk to the restaurant to the pro shop, were outstanding. Every staff member we encountered were exceptionally friendly and helpful. No 24-hour reception, but not really required.
However, that’s where the accolades stop. Great place to visit, but don’t get conned into staying overnight.
Other reviewers have stated the accommodation is “basic”. Let’s clarify that - It is simply abysmal. If I was to tv producer, I would use the accommodation to stage a rural jail cell.
It’s like a national park toilet block converted with a bed and small tv. Rooms face a car park and a driveway of sort. Dark and dinghy: 3 enclosed walls with little natural light. Dated, musty, uncomfortably useless furniture. Very little ventilation. Paper thin walls so that every conversation could be heard next door and outside. Worst than school camp accommodation.
We came over the Easter weekend. Despite pretty much every Airbnb, hotel and motel being booked out within a 6hr radius of Sydney bc of travel restrictions, Easter holidays etc, this place was probably at about 60% occupancy. Clearly, we were the fools.
For $100-200 a night it might have been acceptable, but for the $500-600 a night that we paid if we minus the golf fees and dinner, it is highway robbery.
Such a shame, because it is the type of place I would be happy to return again and again if the accommodation was so much better.
Bottom line: Play Monday and Tuesday if you aren’t a member and spend your money on accommodation elsewhere!

Wow-what a course loved it. Very organized and luxury buggies and stunning grounds this is a must for any golfer, Ive only been playing since Covid in march and I really enjoyed it.

Probably the most satisfying , rewarding and thoroughly enjoyable course and resort and all round experience we have had in Australia....and overall very good value for money. Golf at its best , what an amazing course...
We stayed 3 days and 2 nights and had great food, attentive friendly service, very comfortable rooms in a truly magical setting, and a golf course environment that must be unmatched in Australia.
The 19th hole experience is simply spectacular and taking in the amazing vista and scenery as groups finished the 18th, with great food and drinks to hand was enjoyed by all who were there....especially after playing this course.
Dining was well and truly restaurant standard and my non playing partner just soaked up the natural beauty of this environment and wants to to return.
High quality, efficient staff who are genuinely happy with their lot and I think very good value for money considering the very high standards of course maintenance, service and cleanliness of all areas......I’ve been to about 15 of Australia’s best courses and Bonville is in a league of its own....brilliant . The high standard of service culture was evident in every area And reception was so helpful on many occasions thank you Katrina

I am not a golfer but booked us in as my husband has recently caught the golfing bug. The Golf course is spectacular and I really enjoyed being caddy and seeing the course. The best part is all the staff from reception, green keepers, the pro shop, cart staff were super helpful. Special mention to the restaurant & bar staff who provided outstanding service and also the chef & team as the meals were top notch. The rooms as mentioned in previous reviews are the old motel style but we didn’t mind as the bed was comfortable & the shower was good. The room had aircon and a nice big TV screen. As you are not in the room except to sleep it was perfectly comfortable. For the golfers you could not ask for a better course - plenty of fun and challenges. Keep an eye out for the bold Rooster who has staked a claim on the 8th & 9th hole. The fairways and gardens are spectacular with plenty of birds to see. The distance markers on the course are great using native grass trees. Everything at the resort is meticulously maintained. We are very keen to visit again.

It’s a great golf course! Long, and ridiculously scenic. Bring your camera and your game because you have to thinkabd execute our way around this course.

Everything except the accommodation was excellent. Rooms very basic and motel like. Not even a lounge to sit on. Food, service and scenery were excellent. Not much to do if you’re not a golfer

Accommodation basic. Tiny fridge full of mini bar crap. Golf course very good, so good for a group of golfers

We had lunch with friends on the alfresco area overlooking beautifully tendered course. Staff were very friendly and food was nice but a tad overpriced. We had fish of the day and house pie. We will be back but next time we’ll just order a sandwich - as our local friends did. 😊 we’d love them to consider stocking Chai
