Had an amazing time! The captain is very knowledgeable, outgoing, positive and super friendly!
The boat is excellent, very convenient and cozy. We had a very relaxing time!

We had a wonderful sail with Captain Karl! He greeted us with tasty treats, and was welcoming, kind, and professional the entire time. We had five kids, all under five-years-old, and the sail was smooth and fun. He told us all about his boat Mahiya, its history, and how he came to own it. We’ll always have fond memories snorkeling in Magic Cove, drinking punch from a pineapple, and sailing the Caribbean with him. Highly recommended for your stay in St John!

What an awesome afternoon and evening our family had with Captain Karl on Mahiya! Fun snorkeling, great snacks and being on a catamaran that actually sailed with a skilled captain. It was definitely a hi- light of our week in St John.
Would do it again if we return to St John!

Captain Karl was great and Mahiya was an awesome catamaran to sail on. Unlike other catamarans I have been on we actually sailed. Karl was very informational and fun to be with. I would book another trip with him when we come back!

Mahiya and her crew were the perfect ride for a snorkel and sail adventure. Captain Karl is professional and personable. We've sailed with him before. He is on time, reliable, and very knowledgeable. We brought all of our own snorkel gear but they had plenty additional gear on board. There is ample room for 12 guests to sit, lounge, nap, soak up sun, or seek shade. We will sail with him again.

Captain Karl was a great and knowledgeable sailor and guide. It was a memorable experience watching him read the winds and weather as we sailed in and out of the different small harbors and coves. We have been on other sailing trips in different oceans and seas on larger boats but sailing on Mihaya was so unique and peaceful I can't imagine any other way to sail around St. John. If you want an experience with your partner or family that leaves you contented and feeling more in love with the community of Coral Bay this is the only one I recommend.

This is the 6th time that Captain Karl has hosted us on the beautiful Mahiya and it continues to be one of the highlights for our hard working volunteers to end the week with a super relaxing catamaran sunset (and often moonrise) sale in Coral Bay.

A wonderful, intimate family experience interacting with the wind, waves, sea life and good company. We have been coming to St. John for over 30 years and have been on several charter sails but this was the best by far. Mahiya is not just a sailboat she is a handcrafted traditional cat with a story. She is the perfect size for a private family trip and Captain Karl brings all the passion, knowledge and personal attention we could imagine. We are bringing friends to the island next year and we will definitely book with him again.

Going out with Carl is always an amazing experience. I don’t know of anyone who knows more about the island and where to see the most amazing marine life. Begin able to take it slow and sail on a boat of this caliber was so relaxing.
Yevetta was also an awesome first mate and took some awesome pictures of our family. She always made sure drinks were flowing and everyone had enough to eat. The cookies she made were also awesome!
There’s no other charter on St. John I could recommend more - it’s a must have adventure!

Veterans of many snorkel expeditions, we were blown away by how extraordinary the Mahiya, Captain Karl, and the snorkeling were. The Mahiya is a beautiful cat with lots of wood and both netting and comfortable seats in shade. Captain Karl (even without his first mate) provided wonderful service and was a font of knowledge about St John and it's natural wonders. And the variety and quantity of beautiful fish and coral was simply one of the best we've ever experienced.
That said, parking has become something of a challenge at the Dinghy Dock at Coral Bay so I would recommend getting here a little early. We did and enjoyed lunch at Skinny Legs before our trip.
