Went for Lunch and Christmas Shop with my best friend, Carole. Despite being extremely busy the cafe staff were excellent. My friend needs Gluten Free, so was pleased that the menu was marked with what she could choose from and even better was the staff double checked her tolerance level when serving the food. We both had traditional Welsh Rarebit, which was truely delicious. We then looked in the gift shop, which was a little expensive, but filled with some lovely christmas gift ideas. Our final stop was to the Farm Shop, which has a magnificent selection of cheeses and speciality groceries - leaving with to very filled boxes of goodies. It was a great pre-Christmas day out.

Just had the festive Christmas Dinner at the Derwen Garden Centre Restaurant. Very disappointed, although there was plenty of good Turkey meat on the plate the vegetables were horrible, soggy potatoes, butternut squash with the skin still on and some other veg I couldn’t identify.

Warm welcome from enthusiastic staff. Great range of plants and products and a real tea time treat on a wintery day! Plenty of parking, fresh and local produce in the farm shop. Dietary needs catered for and lovely selection. Will visit again!

Free parking, playground, hedge maze, large store and amazing cafe with indoor and outdoor seating.
Visit can take up to 3 hours depending on your interests.
Lots of aisles to walk through and so many plant and floral varieties including seeds, shrubs, trees, roses, etc.
Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and patient!

Have eaten at this fabulous restaurant in the garden centre now 3 times.
The food is fabulous, not cheap but really nice.
My favourite is the loin of pork with the pasta, it's beautiful. This time it was served with fries instead of pasta but much prefer the first meal. We also went for breakfast, was really nice and the coffee is fantastic. Nice surroundings and really lovely staff. Think this will be our regular go to restaurant.

The garden centre has a great reputation for their variety in gardening products and other paraphernalia having enjoyed many visits here over the years and watch it grow.
However during my past two visits to the restaurant have not been particularly well met.
My visits to the restaurant co inside with my working hours which are unsociable and try to fit them in with the opening times or as close to.
The manager of the cafe is steely faced very in accommodating and very unwelcoming.
Customer service should be the key to all backgrounds all the public.
I don’t like her attitude. Although this won’t put off from coming as I dearly love to annoy her as she has to myself and my friend

A really nice place to visit for plants and also for lunch.i had the fish finger sandwich and was amazed at the size of the meal.

Very good food. Friendly service. The Derwen Restaurant has consistently good food, it is always busy, the staff are always efficient. Now that it’s the summer season they have some new young staff who were equally friendly and efficient.

The cafe here was recommended to us, so we decided to try it out. The food was excellent and the staff were lovely. The farm shop was very good too. We will definitely be back

Our annusl xmas lunch. Was totally amazed at the quality & amount of food. Beautiful starters. Mains were lovely, turkey perfect. Gd range of veg and ample amounts.
Desserts were ample too.
All in all very impressed. My only critisism was the dis organised queing at the till after.
Will def return. We found the staff to be very pleasant and curteous.

No.Guide dogs only into the nursery,gardens, shop and eateries. There is however a spacious car park where a dog could be exercised and given water if left in the car while the owner makes a visit.

from what i can remember, there are a couple of wheel chairs parked up near the entrance to the garden centre, by the covered walkway. If not, if yo go into the main entrance, the info desk is there and they will be able to sort one i think
