Firstly I would give 10 stars if I could.
I was a bit nervous but felt totally relaxed within 5 minutes of meeting Helena. She was absolutely fantastic and I felt like I had learnt so much in the 3 hours. I literally felt like I was walking on air when I had finished.
Helena is so enthusiastic, friendly and her teaching methods were great.
This was only my 2nd ski holiday. Last year I had group lessons for 2 hours each day in Morzine and after this lesson I wish I had just come to Ski Beyond for privates. I would have been a lot further ahead with my skiing. It is definitely worth the money and I would highly recommend. We have just booked our ski holiday for next year so will be contacting Helena to book in :)

My wife and I have just returned from the Portes du Soleil where we had lessons with Ricey and Helena. This is about the fourth time we have skied with them and we couldn't imagine skiing with anyone else. The weather was rubbish on the day of our lesson and they kindly offered to reschedule, or spread the lessons over two days, which we gladly accepted. The lessons themselves were brilliant, striking exactly the right balance between technique and exploring the area (thanks for the off-piste experience Ricey). Already looking forward to next year.

What can I say, almost the absolutely perfect name for the business..it may need tweaking to "Ski Way Beyond", as I can safely say that after my lessons with Ricey this year, my skiing has come on way beyond where I dared hoped I would get to!
As a "almost 50 year old", trying to pick up skiing again after only 2 weeks prior experience over 20 years ago and the intervening time spent on a Snowboard, I had a significant challenge in transitioning back, learning all the technical stuff again and the bigger issue of mindset and lets face it getting older, fear of anything vaguely steep and injuring myself.
Having one failed attempt last year with an Instructor, who was a nice chap (others I know get on really well with him), but I just couldn't understand what he was explaining to me, really knocked my confidence even more, which combined with ill fitting hire boots that gave no control, left me throwing in the towel at the end of the week and refusing to go skiing again!
However, after due reflection I decided I wanted to crack it and a better approach was needed! Fully fitted boots were duly purchased and a lot of time researching instructors in Morzine on the internet of things, led me to Ricey and Ski Beyond!
I have had four half day sessions with Ricey this year and it has been transformational. I wanted to learn not only the technical side, but I needed to address the "fear factor" and mindset side.
From the outset Ricey took the time to understand my objectives, preferred learning style, what I had done before and more importantly where I was struggling. From there we identified techniques not just for skiing, but to help with confidence (Mindset/NLP) and take away the "fear factor", all in terms I could understand, put in to practice and quickly bring to mind if I was losing confidence or got on anything overly steep! We even tackled a black run on the second lesson!!!!
I have gone from hating it, not coming again, to loving it, a second trip of the year just done (lesson four!), new skis now bought and trips planned for December and January already..and of course I'll be catching with Ricey again then!
If you want to Ski "Way Beyond" what you think you can achieve..Ricey and Helena are the team for you..and get yourself some decent well fitted boots!! :-)

Helena’s lessons have been brilliant this week. I’ve skied for years but always take some privates to focus on confidence, technique, navigating the mountains in different conditions. Helena tailors each session to maximise results, progressing you along all with a fun and personable style. Separate lessons for my husband meaning we can both then ski together later but focus on our individual learning points.
Totally recommend for all levels of skier!

We had 3 great lessons with Ricey. He catered perfectly to our level and was really good at giving us tips to improve our technique. He’s friendly and supportive.

I skied with Helena for three days during a trip with friends. I’m not a skier and was nervous so wanted instruction and my goal was simply to learn a little and reduce my fear a bit.
Firstly, Ski Beyond was extremely responsive and clear when booking the lessons. Email instructions made it very easy!
Secondly, Helena is an incredible instructor! She makes it fun and helped ease any fears I had. She’s amazing at tailoring to what you need and helping you achieve your goals. I had so much fun and I now love skiing! I will definitely be back every year to ski with Helena that I can!
I cannot recommend Ski Beyond more!

Helena is a fantastic ski instructor, working on the mind as well as technique, building confidence and ability.
We had several lessons as a mixed ability family, our son suffers from vertigo, I'm a cautious skier and my wife is a confident intermediate.
Helena worked on all three of us, picking up on our needs and "limitations", she pushed our boundaries, giving us expert insights into improving our technique both physically and mentally, and imposing confidence to take on challenging conditions and slopes.
I was most impressed with how she was able to work with my son , helping him develop coping strategies for his vertigo.
In short, we can thoroughly recommend Helena and Ski Beyond.

I cannot recommend Helena highly enough
I have been skiing in Morzine/Avoriaz 4 times now and every time, I have booked lessons with Helena at Ski Beyond. The first time we went, I had never skied before and Helena gave me the confidence and encouragement to give it a go. And I fell in love with it even though I wasn’t that good. Three years on and three trips later and I still love it and Helena’s continued patience and support just helps me improve every time I go. She has this amazing knack of knowing how you are feeling and where your confidence levels are. She doesn’t let you ‘get in your head’ and give up. A great balance of soft handling and tough love depending on what’s needed at the time and who she is working with. This lady is an absolute star and fabulous teacher.

Six teens (mix of boys and girls) unanimously voted Helena their GOAT ski instructor!! Good mix of technique / tips, fun, challenge and finding new ski areas. Would 100% book again and recommend. Thanks again 🙏
