We hired our boat on the 2nd Aug and had a really great day. My partner, 5 year old girl, the dog and myself had a fantastic day (despite the slight drissle at the end of the day, the boat has a cover you can pull up fairly easily). Got off and explored a few sites. Fed some ducks. A cheeky half pint for Mum & Dad, a coke for the littlen and a bowl of water waiting for the dog at a lovely little pub along the canal.
We had a lovely greeting from Richard when we got there. He was great helping us all in and very informative on boat instructions. Easy booking. Easy to get to.
All in all 11/10.

We had a fantastic day out on a 6 seater day boat, the canal and views were spectacular. Richard was there to welcome us when we arrived and explained everything we needed to know about the boat, he was helpful and really friendly. Even gave us a blanket for the dog to lay on :-)

Paul and his colleague's we're very good showed us around inside a canal boat.Also we took a small boat out for the day I must say excellent customer service made us feel welcomed.highley recommended as a family day out.

We had the most amazing day!! Richard who greeted us as soon as we arrived and set us up on our boat was just incredible, such a lovely gent with a great sense of humour! Even giving our youngest passenger a captains hat for the day and a net to help with fishing. Despite not having much luck with catching any fish (we arnt the best fishermen 😂) this didn’t affect the overall day at all. I recommend Brecon day boats to everyone. It was amazing! We will be back!!

What an experience! From the start Richard was warm and welcoming and great with the kids. Very pleased with the boat and the boys loved the fishing nets that we were given. Overall a great day out. We stopped at the Towpath Inn for a pint and pizza. Definitely recommend this to anyone. Big thumbs up from us!

We spent a lovely day sailing up the canal to the Coach and Horses @ Llangynidr for lunch and back to celebrate our granddaughter’s 13th birthday. The canal and surrounding countryside is stunning and the people on the bigger barges were so friendly passing by. Special thank you to Richard who explained everything clearly and answered all our questions. His customer service and guest relation skills are exemplary. Thank you for a wonderful day .

Had a lovely day on the canal for my mother’s birthday great few hours nice and relaxing stopped for some food great value for money and the man working at the Brecon day boats was very friendly and there for any help or advice thank you will definitely be back.

My husband and I (and our dog) hired a six-seater day boat and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the Monmouth and Brecon Canal.
Super helpful and knowledgeable staff who gave tips on where to go and how to drive the boat.
Expect a chilled and relaxing day ( these boats are not speedy) and enjoy taking some time out to wind down in a beautiful setting.
Easy to put up the rain covers when needed which is helpful!
Thoroughly recommended.

Wow where do I start. I booked a 6 seater boat before we went on holiday along with a day out at The Royal Mint. I’m not sure what happened but I ended up getting the days mixed up. I was gutted thinking we were going to miss out on our day on the canal. I couldn’t have been wrong. The staff were so helpful they reassured me that mistakes happen and rebooked our boat for the following day. We arrive at the boat yard and we’re greeted by young man who explained all we needed to know and helped us to enjoy the most amazing relaxing day. My husband, 13 year old son and myself enjoyed great views, baby lambs in the fields, a lovely picnic and we even fed the ducks. Thank you everyone at Beacon Park Day Boats an amazing day in a lovely setting, well maintained boats and outstanding facilities. Will definitely be back

We took this recommendation on the hotel we were staying in ( the angel , abergavenny). boy, are we glad we did. Lovely sunny autumn day, though the boats have covers should you need it.
We were welcomed by Phil who took the time going through all the necessary with us and then quickly got us on our way. A really nice man.
We thought the boat was good value for £100 for the day. Clean and spacious. We splashed out on an 8 seater with space for our picnic . ( I know a similar size boat near where we live for £60 an hour which is crazy ).
What a peaceful day , absolutely beautiful countryside. Sadly didn’t see a kingfisher as hoped so will have to go back

Hi, Our boats our 8 seater (max. 6 adults 2 children) and 6 seater (max. 4 adults 2 children) so you would need to hire more than one to fit your groups of 12 people. Please call us to discuss what's best 0800 612 2890.
