Great little museum containing interning facts about Oliver Cromwell, helpful guide person and free to access, the museum delivers walking history tours which are really interesting

Most interesting and informative. We were grateful for a guide to explain the museum to us and the life of Cromwell since it's been many years since we learned about him in school (like over 50! :) Loved that it was free and you can give donations, that incites me to give far more than a fee to go in!

A great little museum with interesting exhibitions, some great artefacts, and staff who are very friendly and knowledgeable.

We visited as we were in the area and were welcomed by friendly staff who gave us an overview of Cromwell and the museum.
The museum itself is small but packed with information and artifacts as well as some dressing up items for the kids.
We were there maybe 35-40 minutes but it is small just be aware

Based inside what would have been Cromwells school, this museum is small but packed with artefacts.
Some notable help from animations and film. Well worth a visit but take your glasses as text is often very small.

Volunteers very knowledgeable and friendly. So much on display, will never learn it all! The women spies ought to be given more prominence - well worth a visit or two!

On our way to Norfolk, we broke our journey to visit the Cromwell Museum in Huntingdon. Being very interested in history, we were looking forward to this visit. We were not disappointed!
We were met by a very friendly young lady who told us a bit about the museum and the features etc. Having a walk through, we were met by another young lady who was the manager/curator of the museum. I believe she said she was from Canada studying Museum management I think. Now don't get me wrong, she was a lovely, friendly and knowledgeable young lady. I'm sure she thought she was being attentive, but she tended to stalk us around the museum. Also, I know a fair bit about history and I had to differ with her over a few facts. That said, it didn't spoil our visit.
The museum has a lot of information and items on display. They have one of Cromwell's hats on display, as well as a sword. There's also a number of costumes, some of which you can try on.
There is no parking here, you will need to use one of the local car parks.
I doubt I'll visit again, as it's not really a place you can return to at least for a number of years anyway. But it's much better than Cromwell's House in Ely.

A fantastic tiny museum packed with information about Huntingdon's most famous and controversial son. Based in the actual building he was schooled in, you come away with lots more information about Cromwell but possibly still unsure if he was a hero or villain.

This museum is quite small, being a remnant of the school which educated Samuel Pepys and Oliver Cromwell. However it is an amazingly interesting place, full of artefacts, and with very interesting and interested guides. Well worth a visit.

Great little Museum in a beautiful old building dating way back in History from being a hospital and then a school for the underprivileged where Oliver Cromwell attended himself.
Informative with great photos, oil paintings and transcripts.
Very warm, friendly lady hostess full of knowledge regarding her subject. Definitely worth a look.

Are dogs allowed in the museum?

Mr & Mrs L, I'm sorry for taking a while to reply to your query. I'm sorry but dogs aren't allowed in the museum. The museum is quite small, so you would be able to have a quick look round independently, whilst one of you looks after the dog outside.
