Nicht sehr vielsagende Statue für einen tapferen Soldaten aus dem Ort mit einem Schild zur Erklärung. Steht in Bushmills an der Hauptstraße dicht am Park&Ride-Platz zum Giant's Causeway.

Long overdue statue to recognise the achievement of a very courageous man. There are multiple plaques to tell the history beside statue and at old schoolhouse at causeway.

We were present in June when the statue was unveiled by the Queen; an excellent occasion, with strong local support. The statue bears close inspection to appreciate its significance and to read something of the amazing story of Quigg VC.

This beautiful statue was unveiled by the Queen on 28 June 2016 and is already proving to be a place of pilgrimage for many tourists and local people who want to pay their respects to this remarkable man. If you've ever seen a photo of Quigg VC, you'll know the likeness created by sculptor David Annand is extraordinary. This statue has become a popular landmark with great historical poignancy. The symbolism in the scultpure is very moving - for example, the seven Causeway stones to represent the men he saved and his proud, respectful and yet sorrowful gaze towards the war memorial and the names of his neighbours and friends who did not return. You may not have heard of Quigg VC, but it is worth remembering that the statue was paid for by the people of North Antrim, along with donations from across the world - this is not a vanity project by a politically motivated Council. Quigg VC is a true war hero and local people are immensely proud they were able to give him the honour and respect he deserves.

Located right in the heart of town this statue was dedicated by Queen Elizabeth 2 in 2016. The man was greater than the statue of course. He spent 7 hours and made 7 trips into "no man's land" to save others. He was awarded the Victoria Cross(the highest award in Great Britain) for his gallantry. He lived until 1955 having met the Queen in 1953. The attraction is worth a stop by and a remembrance of the sacrifice of the common man called to serve his country.

Very fitting tribute to a local WW1 VC winner. This is a lovely statue, unveiled by HM The Queen in June 2016 is a tribute not only to Sgt Quigg but to all of the men who fought and never returned.
