This isn't really a review it's a question. The tour is a full 6 hours. I suggest pulling the youth from surf camp one day or schedule for later in the summer after camp. It's a very full day with boat tripper to and from the great Blasket as well as time to explore the island.

Hi Elizabeth - thank you for your question. It's really up to you and how you think your child will manage. The tour out to the island is approx 1.5 hours depending on how much wildlife we see. On arrival we must transship to the island by a smaller dinghy and from here you are free to explore. The boat has both indoor and out door seating with a fully enclosed cabin for extra comfort on rainy days. Do bring a packed lunch as the coffee shop only sells light refreshments - on a sunny day a picnic on the beach is a great idea as you can really watch the seals upclose from here. We have 3 year old and 4 year old sons and they love it!

Hi Jill. Yes we get plenty of children taking the tour with us. The fast boat combined with up close sightings of wildlife is both exciting and adventurous. Also indoor and outdoor seating on the Peig Sayers ensures comfort, speed and safety for children to travel on. As we are a small 12 passenger boat we charge a set price of €65 per person. Hi, The last sighting of an Orca was June 2016 - Unfortunately it is quite rare to sight an Orca and generally they are just passing through. The best time of year for wildlife is generally mid April - mid May. We also get Humpback Whales passing through at the end of August - Septmeber so if there is good feeding you great chance of spotting Humpbacks off the west coast at this time of year. Saying this, the summer months do provide a good variety of wildlife depending on the weather, sea conditions and feeding. Hope this helps. Regards, Alice

Hi there, when I went on my day trip, there were several people who stayed on the island overnight. You can head over there with Billy and next day, after he drops off the next group, you head back to Dingle with him. You can get more information from the nice people who book the trips, they can take note that you are staying overnight and give you the pick up schedule for the following day. One thing to be aware of is that accomodation in Blasket is limited, so make sure to reserve your spot in advance. Good luck!

Hey Jim, Thank you for your message. We depart Dingle Bay daily at 11am. The price for the full day ticket is €60 (complementary tea/coffee included at the Island Coffee Shop).
