We went here last weekend. It's a very interesting museum. Our guide Bernard was very helpful and full of knowledge. The lady on reception was very very helpful and gave us good information on other tourist attractions to visit which were well worth visiting. Would highly recommend going here.

I finally visited this museum today having intended to do so for quite a while.
I'm so glad I went in today not least due to our guide Bernard O'Reilly, and the extremely detailed knowledge he related to us about Michael Davitt and that particular period in history.
I was very impressed with the place, the display, the artifacts and the friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff including the lady at reception.
Amazing too to see the ruins of the mid 13th Century Church on the grounds.
Well worth a visit.

Had a short video on the life and adventures of this amazing man,certainly Ireland is a very different country because of him and more like him,he travelled worldwide with his ideas cultivating cultural and political changes where he went/he needs to be more recognised I believe.

Where do I start! Really touching and informative experience that does such a good job you come away with pride to be from the same Country as Michael Davitt.
Kathleen and Mark go above and beyond to do his story justice, from the exhibits in the Centre itself to Marks Awesome guided tour of the Medival Priory and Michael Davitts Grave.
Marks knowledge on the priory and obvious appreciation for it really re-opened my eyes to out beaurtiful Heritage in Ireland. Felt so proud today to be able to say I come from the same County as Michael Davitt.

Interesting museum and knowledgeable staff. Well worth visiting!
The tour started in the museum and the guide (Mark) gave a great overview of the life of Michael Davitt. The information was well presented and we were told many interesting facts about his life and his impact not only in Ireland, but also internationally.
We also had a tour of the Friary where the guide (Sorry don't remember his name) showed us the grave of Michael Davitt as well as telling us about the history of the Friary which was very informative and included great stories and facts about the area.
The information was well presented by both guides who were open to questions and very enthuastic about Michael Davitt and the friary.
We enjoyed our tour and would recommend visiting if you are interested in history and would like to learn more about the life of Michael Davitt.

We visited here last Sunday. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. There is a plethora of interesting items on display many of them donated by the Davitt family.
Highly recommend this tour. Justyna brought us for a tour of the grounds. She is an asset to the museum. Very passionate about Mayo, very friendly and happy to chat and take questions.

What an unexpected treasure! My husband and I stopped here on a whim after visiting the ruins of the nearby Ballylahan Castle, and we're so glad we did! One of the docents, Mark, gave us such an interesting, informative and entertaining tour, not only covering the life of Davitt, but the friary located there, as well. Mark is a natural storyteller with a real passion for his work. This has been a real highlight of our trip to Ireland.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff made this a really enjoyable educational experience. The fact that the museum site also houses a ruined abbey adds to the interest.
