Fun and challenging course and a great value. Agree with the earlier assessment that this is a hybrid parkland/links course. We had strong wind and rain, making it quite a fun test of golf. The course itself is in great shape (Sept). Local pro Iarla is a complete gentleman and a pleasure to work with, we wish him the best as he takes over at Balcarrick! We will return.

I have played this course many times. Senior Open on Tuesdays. Beautifully maintained course with lots of water. I have not found greens in such superb condition else where. Reception in Pro Shop is always friendly and helpful. Clubhouse is fairly basic. Overall lovely place to play golf at a very reasonable price.

I have played Balcarrick lots of times, it has a great selection of holes, Par is not guaranteed at any of the Par 3's, In tough economic times the money is being spent on the Golf Course maintenance, A basic clubhouse with catering is available at reasonable prices. The golf course wins out and i challenge any level of golfer to play it in par. Par is 73, 3 par 3's , 4 par 5's & 11 par 4's. by the way, water is a feature on at least 10 of the holes

this is a fairly new course which was redesigned afew years ago, I am not sure if it was entirely successful it allways seemed to have a strong wind blowing when i played it. Basic clubhouse
