We visit the Barn on a regular basis and have NEVER had a problem with food or service.
This is a great place to eat. Good atmosphere. helpful staff and fabulous food and not too expensive.
There is also the garden centre which has a good range of plants and containers not forgetting the gift shop and ice cream parlour.

We visited The Barn earlier today, whilst in the garden centre we called into book afternoon tea for 4 , we had various dietary requests and The Barn were able to work around this, the sandwiches, cakes, smoothies were fabulous and really great value for money, in fact there was far too much and we took 3 boxes away with us to eat later

Had lunch at The Barn at Scorton today. What a disappointment. I ordered belly pork which came with cold Yorkshire pudding and lukewarm vegetables and did not have any crispy crackling. I returned it explaining that the crackling was soggy and the Yorkshire pudding cold. About 15 minutes later I was presented with a new meal which still had cold Yorkshire pudding and soggy crackling. The roast potatoes and parsnips were grey and clearly not roasted. The mash was quite tasty, the gravy was lukewarm and I left the Barn vowing that I would not return for a very long time.
Incidentally there was an advert for a chef ( no experience required) in the ladies toilets. The present chef certainly needs some training.
