This is quite the mountain. Tons of infrastructure on the mountain and at its base but not tons of people. Lots of high speed lifts and no lines. Conditions were not ideal as there had been no new snow for a while. But coverage was good on the runs. Most were freshly groomed. So lots of fast skiing. WooHoo!

Tamarack is all chips but no dip 👎
Lodge? There’s only one and it’s more like a cafeteria. No heating. No fire places. No area to comfortably lounge.
Lifts? Yeah they’re slow and no gondolas.
Runs? Poorly maintained and never groomed.
Tamarack is a poor man’s vision of a rich man’s resort.
All glitz and glam, only for show.
No function, amenities, or utility.

Spending Christmas at Tamarack was pure magic. It’s rare to find a place where exceptional skiing and remarkable service come together so effortlessly. The food at the mid mountain Lodge was excellent.I cannot recommend this resort highly enough

Had a great Laboor Day weekend at the resort! I was so impressed by the friendly staff and the food was on point the whole trip. Kids loved the ice cream shop, and so did the adults!
Also enjoyed the vibe and views at 7 Devils. Our last night we decided to eat at The Reserve had delicious food and drinks. We will be back for sure this Fall! Perfect place for a family getaway that is not to far out of town.

Beautiful safe setting
Check on easy
Room air conditioning was not working properly ..front desk came up immediately ..sent a-repair person but finally gave us another room
Second room brighter and newly refinished… felt like an up grade ..very happy
Everything in the room we needed ..nice amenities. Very comfortable bed and extremely quiet .
Three days peaceful
Not many places to eat but we went to Cascade to the-grocery store for food

After seeing pics of Tamarack Village, I had visions of a mini Whistler setting with active bogus basin summer activities. We booked during the 4th of July holiday week. We were absolutely shocked that such a beautiful place was literally like a ghost town. So many shops and restaurants, but pretty much all were closed! Lunch options were limited to a pizza or burger. Literally no breakfast options except a coffee bar with a few pastry’s and bagels. So if you rent a condo, bring food and plan to cook. The few restaurants and shops that were open, had very limited hours. Aside from limited food options, if you’re not a mountain bike rider or hiker, activities seemed very limited at this time of year. There was a chair lift with had limited operation. A single scenic ride on the chair lift for a family of 4 will exceed $100. Assuming better during ski season

Hi there, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review! We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations completely. We agree it is a beautiful place and typically we are less busy mid week. As for activities there is a lot to do beyond the lift and the mountain, Tamarack Resort is truly more than just a mountain. We have a golf course, marina, pickle ball, axe throwing, whitewater rafting, zip line tours, karaoke, trivia, and more. Check out our events and activities pages on our website to see everything! For dining we do have limited hours during the week but Triple B is open from 7AM - 2PM for breakfast with avocado toast, bacon, eggs, pancakes, and more. Hopefully you get a chance to check us out again and try some new activities!

Awesome long weekend at Tamarack. The skiing was awesome. Accommodations were great. The Tam staff were nice and super helpful. We really enjoyed The Reserve, Seven Devils and beers at the Mile high canteen. I’d go back again and again.

We really enjoyed our stay as a weekend ski trip in such a gorgeous setting! Tamarack is a gorgeous property and is a perfect place to enjoy a winter weekend. I have to say since our visit last year, the front desk service and housekeeping have improved significantly, and staff were extremely attentive throughout our stay. The skiing was great, perfect conditions and really nice snow cover with minimal lift lines. I loved being able to grab wings and a beer at Sevin Devils throughout the day while skiing which also had fun music, and the convenience of the ski racks throughout the village.
We dined multiple times at The Reserve, which had delicious cocktails and high-quality steak. My only complaint is that the Reserve does not currently serve breakfast -- in fact nowhere on the entire property does which was a bit surprising for a large resort property. That was the main downfall of our stay as we did not have a car and our only option was to have bagels or frozen breakfast burritos at the coffee shop, which I wouldn't quite call breakfast. I definitely would prefer to have some fresh bacon and eggs before a long day of skiing! Otherwise, all the staff was wonderful especially the fun and friendly bartenders at Seven Devils and the Reserve.

We are happy to hear that you thought we improved in some areas. Thank you for your feedback regarding breakfast being available. Typically we try to have Triple B Diner open for breakfast and they serve eggs, bacon, sausage, and more. We hope to see you again out on the mountain!

I have had several disappointing experience with Tamarack. I had booked a stay for January as part of their Cyber Monday deal, only to realize later (now in January) that there was a mistake in the booking date. The website had booked it including for the night that I made the booking less than 2 hrs in the future. I got a confirmation email dated the day after the date I was supposed to start my stay. They then mistakenly sent out an email on 12/12 saying to prepare for the trip, and then another email saying sorry for sending the email, it was a mistake. I got no other emails from them. They claim I got a 'check in' and a 'check out' email , which I didn't . Which makes sense, as I never checked in or checked out. The stay was supposed to be two months in the future.
Unfortunately, the resort not only failed to accommodate my request for a correction but also refused to refund the payment for the incorrect booking. To my dismay, I was met with a flat-out refusal.
The customer service I encountered during this process was extremely unhelpful. The first time I called she put me on hold for more than 10 minutes, and then hung up. I had to call back. I understand that mistakes can happen, but a good customer-oriented business should be willing to work with customers to resolve such issues amicably. Instead, I felt like I was met with inflexibility and a lack of concern for customer satisfaction.
Finally, she said she would rebook it for the correct date. But then she charged my credit card, again!!!!
This inflexible and frankly inept approach left me frustrated and dissatisfied with my experience with Tamarack. And it is not the first time.
We skiied there for the first time last spring. There were no restaurants open in the evening, or morning at Osprey Lodge or at the resort. The pizza place was open for lunch, but that is it. There were no microwaves in the Osprey lodge rooms. Where are you supposed to eat?
It seems that they just can't run the place as they can't get enough customers or enough staff. The staff they can get are basically incapable.
Another time I was there in the summer, the hot tub was full of drunk townies not staying at the hotel. The room we were given had not been cleaned (there was someone else's toiletries in the bathroom!) Driving back to their places drunk, asking for the guest-only code to get into the restroom. Definitely not a place I want to hang out with my kids. The one time I was there in the summer, and again there was only one of the restaurants open.
I expect the construction of the employee housing will help with their staff issues.
But not refunding my money for 2 nights that I DID NOT STAY at the resort is absurd, and not what would be expected from a resort that is bending over backwards trying to get people to come to the resort.
I strongly advise potential customers to double-check their booking details with Tamarack and to be cautious about the lack of flexibility in case any issues arise. A business that prioritizes customer satisfaction should be willing to address and resolve mistakes rather than sticking rigidly refusing to acknowledge their mistakes that may leave customers feeling undervalued.
My experience with Tamarack now 3 times, has been far from positive, and I am left with a sense of disappointment and frustration. I hope this review serves as a cautionary note to others considering this resort for skiing and lodging, and to the management to do everything possible to find capable staff. You can't run a resort this far from where folks live without appropriate staff , managerial and otherwise.

The ski mountain has received over 23" of snow and yet the mountain operations can't seem to ever open the summit lift...in the past 4 days it's opened for part of the afternoon on two days.....it's a sad situation and certainly not how a world class ski resort is run. I keep hoping that one day they will figure it out and all will be good...until then they will just keep frustrating their customers

Hi Mark, our apologies for the late response! Thank you for sharing your feedback and experience at our mountain, we are sorry that Summit Chair's openings did not meet your expectations. Just to explain, our Summit Chair experiences lots of high winds which cause it to temporarily shut down due to safety concerns and this is standard across all ski resorts to ensure the safety of the guest and the lift. The lift will automatically shut down at certain speeds whether we like it or not. Or sometimes there is a delayed opening in order to ensure that our ski patrol. is able to complete their avalanche mitigation, another concern for safety that is standard practice across resorts. We want to ensure the safety of all of our guests so that everyone can enjoy the mountain, we appreciate your feedback and we hope that you can give us a second chance!
