Our first golf outing for this course and also for the season of 2022, it did not disappoint. Several long holes, mostly forgiving fairways and greener then green greens provided an enjoyable Fall afternoon with changing leaves. A few water hazards added to the challenge. Although the restaurant was closed, a previous visit to this stand alone venue provided a great fish lunch. We will definitely return...

Lakeside is one of my 2 favourite courses in the Haliburton Highlands. The course is challenging, well looked after and you can have a Lakeside lager after the game.

We have a cottage near West Guilford and play golf practically every day at Lakeside. It is a wonderful spot, lovingly maintained by owners Duane and Tracy. They really care about the course and making sure that their customers are having a good time, both golfers and people eating at the restaurant, The course is a 9-hole summer course with lots of challenging holes.
Highly recommend their "9 and Dine" on Friday night with singer\guitarist Doug Fraser playing 60's and 70's folk music while we eat out on the deck overlooking the course. We wouldn't miss it!

We ended up checking out the restaurant here and I have to say it exceeded our expectations. The food was excellent, the prices were very reasonable, and the service was amazing, not to mention the beautiful view of the lake. We had our two small children with us and it was a very relaxed, family-friendly setting. Fish and chips were by far the favourite at our table!

If you are in the Haliburton area and are looking for an enjoyable golf outing, try Lakeside. It features challenging holes ranging from par 3's to par 5's. The condition of the course is good considering the price and compares very favourably to other area courses. The owners welcome beginners and kids, so don't hesitate to take the whole family for an affordable activity.
There are a few blind uphill shots, so be on the lookout for stray shots!

Well maintained course. Almost all holes were straight with some variation in elevation. Pretty wide open with holes close together. Not really challenging but good to practice your shots and putting.
Friendly staff. If you get there before they open, the grounds crew will tell you to start playing and pay later. They also have daily specials.
